Hi Guys
Thanks for allowing me to join your group. I have an old SprintCapture.PNG car that I want to identify. I suspect that it might be a Moody but due to it being 1/10th scale, I am not so sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It definitely reminds me of the Moody cars I have seen. Can you take the body panels off and post some more photos? I'm by no means an expert but hopefully someone here may recognize it.

Thanks. I have found out a little more about this car. Built by a man called Terry Plummer who made these back in the 80's. Mfg approx 500 of them. Most went out to California. American racing models. Aluminium tub, brass roll cage, styrene body. Most had Bolink motors. They were powered with 4 or 5 cell niCad batteries and the charging resistor was in the nose. They came with a charge cord plugged into a cigarette lighter-type outlet, however, most guys had their own primitive chargers.
That was decades ago. Terry took out a full-page ad, and the car was featured in an RC Car Action magazine edition. He doesn't remember what issue, though. He sold cars to Rich Vogler, Gary Stanton, Chuck Gurney, Dale Blaney, Rick Ferkel, Leland McSpadden, Mike Gregg, and many others.

That's super cool! Neat to see the older cars. That chassis shape does remind me of the later/modern Bolink/ RJ Speed cars for sure. With how few were made I'd say you have a pretty cool piece of RC history there.

It sure did look like a Moody, real similar body style etc.
