I know getting out of the sport is tough.

Back prior to the year 2000, I was into 1/10th dirt oval pretty heavy. I had a scratch built sprint car based on a Losi chassis with a 20 degree kick in the nose, but my baby was my LTO Losi truck. I had a custom chassis witht the battery pack shifted all the way to the left, I had made my own shock towers from graphite, scractch built front and rear sway bars and I was running short shocks from an offroad buggy. It was one of the few trucks that was actually under weight, which was by design....I was able to add the necessary weight to any location on the truck to aid in tuning.

I remember going to a track somewhere east of Fresno and going up against a Custom Works 2wd prototype oval truck......and leaving it in my dust. I also went up against a couple of gas powered trucks in Fresno and pissing them off.....they bought the gas trucks because they wanted to go faster than the electrics....and again, I left them in my dust.

At one point, I actually won the JG Oval (2wd Stock Truck) and I was 2nd in the nation in 2wd Stock Truck and 3rd in the nation in 2wd Modifified Truck that same year.

I was sponsored by both Trinity and by Tekin.

I had an offroad buggy, the sprint car, an off-road truck (all of which were Losi), and an indy car.

I had to get out of it when we bought a house. I got to the point where I was having to steal parts off of one vehicle to fix another, just so I could go racing. It just wasn't any fun to go racing any more. To go from the pinnicle of the sport (so to speak), to having to rob parts......

I still miss those days, the friends I had/made through the racing years, and the fun that we had.

I miss going to a new track and smashing the track record in the first qualifying heat and being immediatley called up to the announcers booth to get my truck inspected......

I feel for you, brother.....
