Default 2013 edm rules

Here are the EDM rules in black and white. We are following Stock DODC rules with the only exception being the d3.5 and the novak ultra low resistance stators and murfdog outlaw 17.5.

all chassis and body rules can be found here http://www.dirtoval.com/rules/

we are using the new dodc small edm bodies

MOTORS
Any 17.5 ROAR legal motor plus the trinity d3.5, novak ultra low resistance stator,Murffdog outlaw 17.5 and all DODC legal motors.
1. You may not grind, cut, machine any parts of the motor. Must be used as mfg. unless otherwise stated.

2. No interchanging of motor parts from one Mfg. to another.ex. Tekin parts stay in tekin motors, Novak parts stay in Novak motors.

3. Only 12.5mm and 12.3mm rotors are permitted.

4. No rewinding of stators. We will have baseline numbers based on new out of the package motors to compare.

5.Tech is not responsible for reassembling motors after inspection. If you choose that you want to take it apart in tech that is fine but you must do it in a timely manner or have a person ready to do it. We have no room to store cars until you are ready.

Batteries

Any hardcase 2s lipo with an mah rating of 7500 or less is permitted. Must use quick release hobby grade connector.

Speed Control

ROAR Approved Sportsman ESC's. (BLINKY MODE) Any Speed Control from the ROAR Approved Sprotsman ESC list with an average street price of no more than $250.00: ROAR APPROVED SPORTSMAN ESC's Speed controls in this class must be run in the mode specified on the ROAR page.

These rules will be used for all 17.5 edm racing at Singleys, Staubs, Lake Ariel, Bumps and Jumps and The PA Tour
If you have something you are not sure of ask before using or doing it. Just because its not spelled out does not mean its legal.

Its the same as a d3.5 will be available to all before the summer season starts. Matt is a great supporter of dirt oval and has built a motor to compete with the d3.5 as did Novak with the Ultra low stators. Its another choice and is perfectly inline with the other motors. These are the only non roar approved motors that will be allowed along with all the roar 17.5 motors. Just a reminder a D3 won at the freeze so there are lots of options all of which if geared right with a car that is set up well and suited to the racers driving style could and will perform well enough to win at anytime.

Just to clear things up the blue wire d3.5 is not legal when the rules were written that stator was not available so it is not permitted.
