I am thinking of bringing a race boat just in case this rain does not stop by then.

Not that the "Weatherguessers" are always right, but there is a 0% chance of rain next Sat and Sun. 20% chance on Friday. The only day during the next ten days that they are calling for rain is Thursday.
As far as class count, I'm not sure. Entries have been coming in steadily over the past two weeks. Most guys that run EDM Mod are running EDM Stock, also. This is a part of the Super Dirt Series tour, so the points will be tracked differently. I will explain in more detail at the driver's meeting, but a quick explanation...
Matt Olmsted runs mod in the series. Steve Harris runs stock. Let's say Matt runs mod, and stock. If Matt wins the stock class, his points do not count in stock. If I come in second, same deal. If Steve comes in third, he gets first place stock points for the series (100 points), because he would be the highest finishing stock class racer.
There will be Summernationals champions crowned at the end of the weekend. Series points awarded will be added together to determine the champ. More on that in the PHR driver's meeting.
For those of you who are curious, it is Jeff Curran's intent to have the track finished this Sunday. By the looks of what is there, the only way I can describe it is that it is like a small Eldora. Where it is not quite like Kranzel's (you spend more time in the corner than in the straights), it looks like equal time may be spent between corners and straights at PHR. As time goes on, I have no doubt that this track will have multiple grooves. Since Finger Lakes has been covered, there has been no "fluff" generated, and PHR will be covered from the beginning.
It's going to be fun.

The track is looking sweet! Long straights and sweeping corners. Can't wait to test it out!

Jeff, Ron and I are planning on being there to run our trucks. We both have picked up foams so we should be ready to go. We were wondering if the late model on the entry form ment our 4WD cars or not?? We are planning on bringing them although we both only registered for the truck class.
See ya Monday.

I wish these weather guys would get it straight. On Tuesday it was going to be beautiful, by Wednesday it was going to be a wash out, and now they are saying that it will be mostly south and east of Syracuse.
Who knows???obviously not the weather guys. The only time they are accurate is when they are telling me about the weather for yesterday. :D

Absolutely not Clint! I have heard meteorologists screw up prior weather, too!
"Meteorologist" is actually of Greek origin meaning..."doesn't know jack $_ _ T!" (from the Greek word "medohnokrappa"). Maybe it was Italian, I can't remember.

the WDRA Summernationals was nothing short of a GREAT event! Jeff, George, Terry, and Kevin did a SUPERB job with coordinating the events and getting the tracks in great racing condition. Performance Hobbies Raceway was pretty decent condition considering it has never been raced on before today!
Thanks for everyones cooperation and hard dedicated work to pull of a VERY successful WDRA Summernationals event. Have to thank Fran at Finger Lakes Raceway for his cooperaton with switching venues on short notice due to the inclement weather.
Everyone seemed to have a really good time and everyone please give a "hand" to Jeff, George, Terry, Kevin and Fran for their hard work and cooperation.
