If your running 48 pitch gears, depending on the size of your tires, and what kind of motor that you are running; I would start with a 81 spur and a 27 tooth pinion. At least that is the gear combo that I started with, and it seems to be a descent gear ratio to start at. Hope that helps.

If your really looking to go fast your tranny has to spin free. It's important to keep the bearing clean in the car. Ask the fast guys at your track for help with your car. Compare your tranny to theirs, and ask about gear ratio's.

Try a 29 or 30 pinion and an 87 spur and quite hitting the inside wall going into turn 3. Anyway shouldn't you be at work?

Ask and you shall recieve, I ran my B3 Terminator for the first time this week at Competition, using the 2.40 b3 tranny, I geared it at 84/30 which with the tranny gives you about a 6.28 and change (spur/Pinion x Tranny). I felt plenty fast, other than for the truer motor I was running, that thing was a pity!
Also it will depend on the size of the track too, whether you rn short or long track, and how long the races are, the gearing I gave will work for 5 minute races.
