Thanx a lot Nick. That is really appreciated. You know how hard I try, and what I have been through over the past few years, trying to get the hang of this stuff. To the guys who I ran with in EDM mod "A" main, who thought they got rubbed wrong by me, I do not ever intentionally try to take anyone out. I think it's a shame that racers have to spend so much time trying to "get back" at someone for an incident which was purely accidental, instead of trying to race back to the front. I guess I have to apologize for getting a little nervous, being in my first "A" main, at a bigger event. Just remember guys, you were there once too, and you two know who you are. I want to thank those those drivers for the SLAMMING they gave me, and I hope they felt better afterwards. Otherwise, had an awesome time with a lot of good guys this weekend. Some of you, must have brought back some of that "southern hospitality" with you, from Coopers. See ya next time around.

Yea, like 15 minutes after driving through Harrisburg, it started snowing, but mostly through Scranton, Binghamton and the last 10 or so miles from my house. What can I say, what a way to top off the weekend, lol.

Well, congrats to go out to Jake, and of course Dave, you did your homework, and you more than deserved to win. Despite all my bad luck, I had an enjoyable time, got to see some good racing, and had some good laughs, especially at the hotel. Thanks to Mr Whiplash for the tires (much appreciated) to George and Terry S for offering Big Block power, and Jeff Rupert for attempting to push my car across the line in the mod mains.... Twas a fun time.

1 suggestion though, in tech.... All weekend, I ran a heatsink or a motor shammy, and I saw my motor get looked at once, not even to see if I was running the correct armature. I think that more emphasis should be placed on checking motors than the ride height of the car..... just my opinion, and no offence to the techguy, I know he was racing in a couple classes.

I must admit, that looked like a fun Mod C main, but I think Jeff was laughing harder, on the drivers stand, than we were on the floor. I had a very good time this weekend, and I am looking forward to running another show like that. Everyone was very friendly and fun to be with. I almost won $4.00 - if Rodney didn't pull the sprinter off the track! He did a nice job of turning that performance around, though. Congrats to everyone who did well. Thanks, Mike, for letting me beat up your wedge car. I like the class.

Dave, as for the hospitality, those PA members outside weren't there to accuse you of cheating. Actually I thought it was good to see someone new win, especially someone from NY because it just makes the rivalry even better on the track at the next big event. The only reason there were people there was because of some misc. parts that were taken from certain pits. It had nothing to do with you, just someone else. If you saw it as something about you or your car, I am sorry you took it as such. I have seen you race many times and know you are always fast and clean.

I will give a big thumbs up, for the performance I saw in the stock A main, by Dave Gruel. I haven't seen anything that dominant at Kranzel's in a long while. Lapping the field in stock, that just don't happen. You definately had yer stuff together that race. As for the comment by RCRACER20 about being taken out in EDM mod, it was I who got into Dave, trying to pass him back, after I blew the line going into the previous corner. It was a racing accident, nothing more. Obviously he had another vision of the incident, and took it in his hands to respond to my mistake, with a bashing on the front stretch, later in the race. Once again, as I already have, I apologize for my inferior driving abilities. As for the question on the Stock rumors, I WAS NOT the one who accused him of any illegal activities in stock, so end that thought right there. I never made it out of the B main in stock, but had a front row seat for the whoopin he put on the rest of the field, in the A main. I hope these comments will put an end to this subject.

I have to tell a few of you guys that i am really getting annoyed with some of the comments i am reading, 1st of all, you seem to use the words, "PA GUYS" alot,
well it just so happens i am a "PA guy", so i would strongly suggest you curtail some of these comments,

I just want to congratulate all the winners this past weekend at Kranzels. I also want to say Great job to Mike Wotring on his first win! You have waited a long time for you first win at a show like this buddy. I just wish I was there on Sunday to see your mains - oh well there is always next year. Another person I want to mention is Shawn Schrader. This was his first "BIG" dirt race and he also did an excellent job. Well except for the little incident on Saturday... Anyway it is good to see new people attending these races and it is good for the sport. If I am not mistaken this was also the first big show for Dennis and Jim McKeon. It was nice to see these guys who race outdoors in the summer run at Kranzel's. Speaking of Jim I think I should congratulate him on winnning the 4 wheel drive A-main - Good Job Jim!!!

why keep the arguement going.....

Bottom line was that tempers peaked...especially mine, considering my weekend started off bad before I even got there, thanks to the blizzard I hit on the way down....... Things were said that shouldnt have been said, and people were accused of things they shouldnt have been accused for. If I posted anything offending, then I apologize, cause fact is, what nick said is 100% correct, we are playing with toy cars and should be having fun...nothing more, nothing less.

Goerge
verbonitz stomped to victory in the Sprint A. Was told that he was putting down 4.9 laps right up to the end. When he is on, the man is tough to beat. Although my main did not turn out the way i wanted, at least this
year I got to start!. My problem was not being able to take off work to get the car set up before race day. Will definatley not let that happen again. Am taking a weekend off, then am going to be racing. Hey Jeff....what does one have to do the get a mention in concourse? I painted and laid out mine, the others were painted by someoi=ne else. I'm not bitching, by am wanting to know what one looks for.....

dirtmod06
December 14th, 2002, 11:59 AM
stormer,
well i don't know about what you have to do , but i put my car in it also and it was painted by ndrb, just put it there to be seen for fun , all i did in this national race is sponsor the concourse ,i had nothing else to do with it as far as the judging goes, so better luck next time sorry about that ,

Captain3Fingers
December 14th, 2002, 9:20 PM
I had to judge a concourse before, and let me tell you it was tough!!! It is hard to be unbiased when you know the people you are judging. But when I did it, I looked for all paint- that is harder to apply then stickers!! If a sticker car stood out above the rest, I would pick it.
I saw a few bodies that were awesome in the pits and not displayed for concourse at Kranzels last weekend, and the owners said that they had to much respect for Nick D. to put there cars out there. They were not going to take the credit for the work that they did not do themselves!
I think the 3 judges at Kranzels did a fine job, and all 3 were from different areas- not all from the home track. And that in itself made it very fair to all!!
just my .02
