It was a little chilly, but not too bad for the final race at Mod-Stock.

As usual special thanks to Tom for his hospitality and for the free food and drinks.

Hopefully we can get a weekly show going for next summer.

Thanks to Tom for a place to race, burgers to eat and the drinks.

Those coupes are a different kind of animal. I put a legend body on a Terminator, hot lapped with 4 cells and still couldn't get it around. I did some thrashing to get it better. I ended up running a 5 degree motor and 6 cells they just didn't have enough run time to complete the last heat and the main.

Thanks to Billy for running the races.

The weather was not good out here at all. Cloudy with a little rain. I REALLY WANT TO GET OUT THERE !!!! I am trying to get a "Coupe" class going out here but there are a LOT MORE TALKERS THAN THERE ARE RACERS..(you know how it goes) i think Bob Mott hit it right on the head saying that these cars are harder to set up and that discourages a lot of people from racing them.( but i've got confidence in you Bob) http://www.dirtoval.com/ubb/wink.gif

It was a good thing you asked for directions.

LOL......just kidding....I understand the long drive thing only to race with a few cars. Maybe next year.

Rip...no problem. Hopefully Shoemaker and I will make a few trips out to Walts this winter. Maybe will car pool and bring a few guys out. (Terry/ Billy are you interested) ...and of course you're always welcome to our side of town.

DirtBoy: that sounds good, maybe by then i'll muster up enough interest among the racers to have a coupe class. I've been politicking and shaking hands, but havn't kissed any babies yet.... http://www.dirtoval.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Thanks for all the racers that made it to our Fall Fling. Not many tracks will run through Sept and Oct on the outdoor tracks. Mod Stock had a complete fall season with NO rainouts in Sept and Oct. Maybe a few other tracks should think about running from April to Last of Oct. outside in the Northeast. There are always a few that will brave the weather. See you racers next year.
