I would like to thank David and Stu Kranzel for their hospitality, Nick DeAngelis of NDRB for sponsoring the race, and the Chateau de Maywood Avenue for putting Terry and I up for the three-day weekend. It was a fun weekend for all who attended!
And Coop, read closely....
1) Since it wasn't your birthday this week, Brownie must have been giving you an early Christmas present!
2) Due to all of the stuff I was trying to do on Saturday, the OTB was not at it's maximum efficiency. Suffice it to say, if I really needed to, I could have trunked your car owner to get my money back! http://www.dirtoval.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
It was a blast hanging with everybody this weekend! The 2002 WDRA Super Dirt Series brought to you by Custom Works and Kranzel's R/C Raceway and Hobbies, will present the series finale at Radio Hill Raceway. We are looking to reschedule for sometime in December between the Dirt Oval Championship at Kranzel's, and the holidays, since it is the week before the Open Wheel race currently. I will keep everyone posted!
Thanks again, everyone!

Rupert how are you doing bud? As they say sometimes it is better to be a little lucky than good. That is exactly what happened on Saturday The elder statesman really was the class of the field. All I could hope for was to keep him in my sights and be there if anything happened. Well about four minutes in it happened - Brownie had some trouble and I got by. If that would not have happened the outcome may have been totally different. I had a second place car all day and up until that point - Brownie was the man!
Brownie was on rail's all day his car was flawless and he drove excellent. I feel bad finishing ahead of Mr. Whiplash since I was running "TEAM PACKS". In fact I was waiting for some Ferrari like team orders to be given but Brownie would never do such a thing. It was a great day with a lot of fun on and off the track. The WDRA is a great series with a great bunch of guys to run with.
Oh yeah thanks for the two bucks - that was too easy Rupert! You could have made one of them back if you would have performed you B-main stunt but, I know you better than that. At least I think I do? Anyway thanks to everyone it was a great show and a lot of fun. I may venture up north for the final race of your series depending on how worn out I may be from the Nats. and then Kranzels. If I do it will only be to take some more of your money Rupert!!
Once again BROWNIE you are the man!!!!! Thanks for the present and also the awesome Whiplash power.

Well, I had a great time, that track is awesome!!!! Jeff, thanks for being my tire sponsor sunday, lol (next time I wont move over for ya, http://www.dirtoval.com/ubb/tongue.gif ). As usual, got to meet a few new guys, and was surprised to see Shane Kocher (who I havnt seen since 1995), even though I didnt have a chance to talk with him.
As for sunday, the Mod A Main was awesome, Terry, Nick and Billy were absolute rockets. What happend to Nicks car anyways???
See you all in December!!!!

Matt, you're more than welcome for the tires. And you're not kidding about Shane. I haven't seen him in about four years, and he walks in and says to me, "Hi. What the hell brings you down here?" I'm thinking to myself how many times I've been to Kranzel's...just in the past 12 months alone! About 20 to 25, and have never seen him there. Where has he been? LOL!
Terry put a 6x2 in Nick's car for the feature, and he couldn't handle it, so he pulled off. He was muttering something about cars not being able to turn without the front tires touching the ground, or something to that effect. Everyone's so picky these days.

Hey Jeff could Nick's problem have anything to do with front downforce. If so I know the body man... O.K. I guess I will stop while I am ahead.
Just kidding Nick - by the way is the N.D.R.B. body painted by Rupert for real????

Well, I didn't win money, make the "A", or even the "B", but it was one hell of a fun day. You are all one fun bunch of fun guys to race with. Somehow, the regulars, and the travelers, all seem to get along so well. I guess that's what's what made it fun. It was nice to meet some new guys, and get beat by some of the usuals. Thanks for the fun, Shawn

I'm in on that one Roger! Someone has to call me with the results, so I can add up my winnings til you guys get home. I myself, also can't wait to see that shiny new NDRB body on the fastest ride in the east. This paint scheme should be interesting.

Roger, I have to counter that bet! I say Phil Cooper has the ONLY shot at winning the $500 bonus for winning three classes. I don't think there is anyone out there that can beat his prowess behind the wheel. So here goes...
Cooper to win three, but only TQ one.
COOP, DON'T LET THIS GO TO YOUR HEAD, OR I WILL HAVE NORRIS PUT US IN THE SAME HEATS, AND YOU WILL TQ NOTHING...AND WIN...NOTHING! LMAO!

Hey Jeff I hope you are right. This year at the Nats is going to be a blast win - lose - or draw! I am looking forward to running with the best this sport or hobby has to offer. As of right now I am getting everything together for my assault on the VA. clay and let me tell you this is quite the job. Cars, Motors, tires, batteries, bodies(including the new N.D.R.B./Rupert fabrication special) if it is done in time. It's going to be alot of work but also alot of fun. Racing and hanging out with all the guys is what I am looking forward too - a few wins would also be nice but the remains to be seen.
Actually I have to win a few my boss Mr. MW Motorsports needs to make that signature a little longer!

It looks like I'm going to need to rent a trailer and hang it on the back of the hauler for the trip back. All of these a-main trophies and TQ cups are going to take up alot of space. What do you think Phil? I know my C and D-main plaques won't be a problem.

Oops I forgot to say that my Graphic Zone sponsor will also be busy preparing all those beautiful show winning bodies for me. See what I mean Jeff - it's a job just keeping the people who pay the bills happy.
He will not be happy when I roll out that new N.D.R.B. Rupert fabrication special now will he?

Eating Farting Sleeping - Got it thanks for the explanation. I may have to side with Wally on this one if the BBG is in the house watch out!
Terry as far as me running 9 classes it is a possibility but I have not made any final decisions as of yet. Even if it is not 9 it will be at least 5 so I will take you up on that offer - bring the No Doze it's going to be a long weekend!

I got to tell you Jeff it seems you need to lay off the beer before putting any more tires on that lathe. I know you are going to blame it on Kevin and his pan car tires aren't you? Hey you know I am only kidding - when I heard what happened I could not believe my ears that really sucks. Guess next time you will check before truing all you R.A.D.
