Congratulations goes out to the first Nitro Tour Champion --- Gianni Boccoleri. Gianni piloted a BMS (Boccoleri MotorSports)Nitro Sprinter. He hails from Lafayette, California and considers his home track to be Delta R/C Raceway.Gianni attended 3 out of the 5 events and won each of the events he attended. Gianni was also TQ in each of the 3 events.

Series Notes

<LI>Not one driver was able to compete at ALL five events (not even me, the series director!!)
<LI>Just under 70 different drivers competed in the series.
<LI>The series champion only attended 3 out of the five events.
<LI>Big traveller awards goto Chad Smith (chicago ridge,IL); Craig Frase (chicago,IL); and Roger Deiter (allentown,PA)for attending 4 out of the 5 events.
<LI>Longest haul award would goto Gianni Boccoleri who flew from California to Baltimore, then drove from Baltimore to Newville,PA for the last race of the tour.

We are currently working on schedules for next years tour. Plans include adding EDM and Truck classes to the points series. We are also looking at adding 3 regional points series as well as crowning a national champion. Get your calanders ready for the 2003 Nitro Tour.
