Machinist, the body builders have been really busy doing bodies for the big Custom Works Championship race in VA next week. If you give a bit of time so things slow up for them, and e-mail them again, I think they would gladly help.

Well, i ordered the mcallister body, its a good looking body, great customer service. I was talking to the local hobby shop today and they told me that custom works went out of business? is this true?

Custom Works did not go out of business. Ownership changed and the location moved, but they are very much in business. Tell the guys at the shop to look at CW's website for contact info.

The bodies are still manufactured out of my hometown in Bakersfield CA, the rest is now back east. Later, hope this helped you some. Good luck with the EDM.

RCMachinist,
I know Kranzels in PA is a dealer for Custom Works, as well as Southside Speedway in MN. I think you might get better prices out of either of them rather than going right to CW, as CW themselves have never really been focused on retail. That may have changed with the new ownership, but in the past, either of those places has been much cheaper for me.
I'm not sure of the web address for Kranzels, but it should be in the "links" section of this site.
The address for Southside is www.southsideracing.com (http://www.southsideracing.com)
Call Kevin there or send him an email, and he'll hook you up.

I don't have experience with all of the bodies that Kipp sells, but the bodies that I have bought from him in the past for B3 & B4 EDMs are pre-cut and bent. That particular body is made up of 5 pieces that you can trim and mount to fit your chassis. He makes nice looking EDM bodies and he is a great person to buy from. He has always shipped my items quickly.

the body on my car is what kippy calls a terminator body because thats what he makes them to fit but....as you can see a terminator body will fit on a custom works car or really any car with a little bit of adjusting it might take awile to get it where you want it but when its done its sweet..yes kipps bodies do come all cut out and bent and labled so you know what peice goes where ive bought many bodies off kippy very happy with them

thanks to all that recomended me!! due to the overwhelming amount of body orders i have received in the past few weeks i am running a little behind. anyone that needs a body kit from me please allow at least a week delivery time. i try my best to ship orders quickly but these body kits are all hand made and i am a 1 man operation.

Hey Kipp,
What's the normal turn around time for a custom painted body? Say something similar to the Blue/Orange sprint body on your website.
