Brownstown In. RC race at Funfest

Funfest RC Race at Brownstown Speedway

Oct. 7th Thursday night @ 7:30 PM

Horse arena beside the pit gate.

$15 and race all the classes you want, This will include BBQ
sandwich and chips plus a DJ after the races.

Trophies for top 3 in each class.

Classes will include

1/10TH Open Late Model
1/10TH Open Sprint
Box Stock Slash
Mini Late model
Novice - Never raced before. Any vehicle.
Run What Ya Brung Any vehicle that doesn't fit in any other class, NO Nitro.

Could possibly split Slash and Slash Late Models and the stock and mod mini's depending on interest shown.

Outdoor track, bring pit table and extension cord and power strip.Electricity will be provided.
This is going to be a sandy loose dirt oval.Probably want pin tires.

The $15 is collected at the front gate. You come over to the sign up table and run all the classes you want without paying any additional money.

what r u guys running in the slash lm's? does it have to b a slash or can it b any 1/10th short course truck?

Has to be a stock Slash, Either truck or Late Model. Sorry. You can run the short course truck in the Run What Ya Brung class.

Track is looking very good for this race. seems to pack really well and very smooth.
Practice will start at 5pm thursday.
Sign up will close at 7pm. If your going to be later than that please call me or email me your info so we can get you in the computer.

Don't forget your pit tables and extension cords.Might want a light for your pit table.
There are no tables or chairs here.

Yep Lipo is legal in all classes.

Track is very hard packed with little loose on top.Definetly want pin tires of some sort.

Hey is this track running every year on the fairgrounds with this race? I spent my summers growing up on my granparents farm not far from brownstown and spent the weekends at the speedway. I would like to try to make this race out there next year if it will be on. I just didnt have enough time to plan this out. Wish i could of made it. Thanks.

Consider having this race on Saturday morning of Funfest and I am positive you will get a ton more cars.

Yes I have already been asked to put the race on next year.
If things work out we are trying to arrange a race on the same day as the Ice Breaker.
Early afternoon race so we can watch the big cars race that night.

Nitro will be included in the next races there.
Post up the interest so we have an idea of classes and car counts. The more the merrier.
Like to see this become A nice big event.
