Round #7 Coming up Sunday, August 22nd!!!

We are headed into the second half of our 2010 racing season and things are still heating up at OTR Speedway. Attendence for the first half of 2010 has been great and we look for the back 9 to be just as good! We will be ordering and installing some more racing surface before the next round since we are starting to see a few marbles come out during raceday. We have just plain raced our way through the surface so far! Not to fear as we'll have a new surface in place by this weekend. We hope to see everyone our for round#7 at the track!:thumbsup::D:greenflag:

We'll be racing 5 classes in the following order:

:greenflag: - 1/10 Electric EDM/Truck
:greenflag: - 1/10 Nitro EDM/Truck
:greenflag: - 1/10 2WD Short Course Trucks (5-min Mains)
:greenflag: - 1/10 4WD Short Course Trucks (5-min Mains)

First couple loads of dirt came last night and the rest are arriving tonight! Should have a super smooth surface lined up for Round #7, Let's hope the weather cooperates so i can get everything run in before we get any weather! LOL. ;):ha:

All of our loads of dirt have arrived! Now I'll just have to get them worked into the track and packed for racing next weekend!!!

After a busy Saturday our new surface is close to raceready. We have re-grooved the corners with the new surface materials and hopefully taken care of any dips that have formed over the first half of the season.

Ok guys,

I just received confirmation that our local ABC station WENY-Elmira (ch. 6)will be sending down their Sport reporter Andy Malnoske to do a report on our racing action this coming Sunday! They have already checked out our website and racing videos and are coming to do a news report on our racing program and hobby! This is an exciting opportunity for our hobby and our track to get the word out!!! Ok Gang,

Weather for Saturday night into Sunday isn't looking the best right now. T-storms forecast to roll into the area Saturday night and throughout Sunday. For now we are a GO and we'll wait and see what the weather picture looks like late tomorrow evening.

haha. Well lately the nitro sprint turnout has been low. ie we've not had enought to run. Both of mine are down right now. We'll be sure to have a good crowd though. I know that most of the locals will be here.

Gotta get mother nature to be kind and it should be another great raceday!!!:thumbsup:

Racing has been Cancelled for today's event. We received a huge amount of rain last night and it's still raining hard. The forecast for today is for an additional 1-2 inches of rain and it's not suppost to slow until later in the day. I know the radar looks like it might clear out in the next couple of hours but the forecast is for 100% chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms devoloping during the midday into the afternoon....

There will be no raindate for this round. We already have a prior commitment next weekend so the next race will be the next round on September 5th.

Hopefully WENY will be able to re-schedule for that date. I will be in contact with them and will let everyone know.
