Bob decided to try covering the track to keep the racing surface more consistant week to week, hopefully with less maintenance required during the week.

Looks good, it will work out great for you guys. The track I race at covers it up from week to week and it makes a huge difference. Not to mention it is very rare to get rained out becaue if it starts to sprinkle the cover goes on in very short order and racing resumes when the cloud moves on.

George @ LA Speedway also covers his track and it is one probably the best outdoor surface I have raced on.

Have you ever looked at something or been some where and said to your self, who ever did this or runs this has a lot of work ethic and self pride, cares about what others think about their facilities and have gone above and beyond in the efforts they put forth. Well if you get to the Bakery you will see such a place, looks great, surface getting better, and grounds second to none. What promoted me to write this is the pictures of the cover which is the iceing on the cake. I just want to say I appreciate the efforts of all track operators and owners and all put in a lot of hours be it indoors or outdoors, large or small. I have been to a lot of tracks near and far and want to thank all who run these non-profit facilities or low dollars per-hour facilites, for their efforts and devotion to us sometimes, take them for granted racers. Voice your opinion but support your local tracks and special events.

thanks,Mr. Todd.... Bob puts in an unbelievable amount of time at the track, that's for sure. Hopefully, this will help him trim that down a bit. And yes, it is a not for profit facility, though not by design.

Right on Mr. Todd! Anyone who thinks a track isn't a lot of work has never taken part in building / maintaining one...
Thanks to all who give us a facility to race at -
