I apologize for the slow response getting information out about this track, I am not getting the information from the track, many calls, many emails and nothing substantial coming back..
What I have is.
The track is 120 x 80
Street Tracks work great, no foams
Their normal show is Sliders and 1/8th Scales Late Models
They have a hobby trailer at the track.
The directions to the park are:
Directions to Johnson County Park
From Indy:
Take I-65 South to Exit 90 (Franklin)
go west on SR 44 to US Hwy. 31
turn left onto 31. Go 5 miles to SR 252 West turn right. (Just before you turn you’ll see a HUGE rocking chair at Long’s Furniture World.)
Take SR 252 W two miles to County Road 325 E turn left.
You will see Johnson County Park/Hoosier Horse Park signs at the turn.
The park is located 2 miles south on that road, which becomes Schoolhouse Road.
From Louisville:
Take I-65 North to Exit 76-B (Edinburgh) you’ll see Edinburgh Outlet Mall.
Go to the third traffic light, counting the one at the mall turn left at the 3rd light.
You’ll turn onto Hospital Road, although there isn’t a sign at that location.
You will see Camp Atterbury, Johnson County Park and Hoosier Horse Park signs as you approach.
Go 3 miles to Schoolhouse Road turn right.
You are now in the park.
Intersections in the park on Schoolhouse Road have signage marking the facilities.
If all else fails call 812-526-6809.
Inside the park there should be signs to the track.
You can check out the local stuff at http://www.jcpark.org/
The MDOR Classes will follow MDOR Rules with the track specifying what is what on the applicable areas. Rubber tires.
Three Cars makes a class.
MDOR Classes for this event will be:
13.5 Limited Sprints
13.5 Limited Late Models
Open Sprints
Open Nitro Sprints
8th Scale Open Nitro Late Models
Unfortunately there has been zero interest in the EDM classes so they have been dropped.
I am unsure about the times for practice and the actual racing but I would venture a guess that there will be some sort of practice Friday Night and that the track would be open for practice after noon on Saturday with racing starting up around 5 PM.
I know that there are plenty of camping spots if your need an RV spot I suggest getting in touch with the park by calling (812) 526-6809

OK I got word from the guys at JCP.
Friday Practice will be from 5PM until 10PM
Saturday Practice:
There will be practice according to turn out.
I am guessing 9 or 10 AM
It has been stated that there will be practice for those who couldn't make Friday Nights practice.
Probably some practice in the afternoon as well.
Saturday Racing will start I am guessing around 5PM. As soon as I get a firm time I will let you know.
As for the classes, I guess the only local class that has had turn out is the 1/8th scale late models. Evidently there were a few nitro sprint guys running earlier in the season but have since dropped out.
SO, what classes will run will at least be the 5 MDOR Series Classes as long as there are 3 cars in the class. If there are three cars in a class but none are MDOR Drivers then we will play it by ear as to awards.
As usual all MDOR Series Drivers will get a participation plaque. No word yet if the JCP Crew will want to take care of the non-series drivers awards or participation plaques.
As for an entry fee, I haven't heard but would guess $20-$25 for a first class and then would assume discounts down for each after. Not for sure yet.
As for other information. I guess go to the JCP Forum located at www.jcp-rc.com (http://www.jcp-rc.com) and you will have to register to see anything. I guess there is information in the oval forum about directions and such. Unfortunately the forum is setup that you have to be registered to see anything, I was thinking the forum was empty cause if you go there and aren't signed in you see nothing. Once I registered then I could see the posts and threads.
I must apologize about the delays in the information and such. I know it is no excuse but personal situations and career have taken up a lot of my time lately and there was some miscommunications between myself and the JCP guys.
Pass the word to all of your regular racing buddies and lets make this a great event!

Racers, The 4th installment in the MDOR Series was a BUST!!
There were only a handful of competitors who showed up and there was not enough to even hold a race. The local race program had dwindled to almost nothing and there was no racing action.
The other MDOR Series events will be held, we aren't quitting because of one bad race, the J-Tec Race coming up in two weeks promises to be one of the biggest yet.
You will have to check the MDOR Series site for an announcment about a new, cutting edge probationary class set for the J-Tec and possibly the Championship race. It is a trial run for a new class next year but you will have to check out the site for all the details.
