Hard to have a big event like that and run it on Sunday. Probably get a better turn out if were done on a Saturday.

hard to say tim... it's probably a toss up, only way i see sat is better for traveler's is if they want to take no days off.... i.e. leave after work friday, be there to race sat morn, then head back home to be back for work on mon. but realistically i would think if we had a sat race, most guys travelling would take fri off to get here earlier and get some track time in fri nite, that means 1 day vacation min. same situation w/ a sunday race.... leave fri after work OR sat, get here w/ plenty of time to practice sat, race sunday and travel back after the race or mon morn... either way it still requires 1 day off work for most travelers.

I just don't see the Sunday thing working but it might. I couldn't make it for a Sunday race. I have been wanting to get down there to Ronnie's and race but I can't do it for that race. Maybe another time.

Is racing on Sunday only? What is going on all day on Saturday, just practice?
Thanks.

Ronnie,
What does your track require for tires on the 1/8 late models?
Thanks in advance,
Mike Sanders

the majority of the guys run foams silvers, golds and pinks. There are a few guys that run rubber. I run silvers most of the time.
Mike, we would like to have you come down. Let me know if you need any more info.

Ronnie,
I'm sure I will get down there sooner or later...don't know if I can work it out for this one but I'll try. I've just now started seriously racing the DM1s I bought from you back at the end of '08! Yeah, I know, took long enough.
I do hope to speak to you soon about foam tire racing, i.e. difference in set ups, etc. All we've run in MS is rubber...
Thanks,
Mike
