Hey guys, I am trying to gather some info and see how many guys from California would be interested in attending the 2010 BIG BILLS Money Race, @ Big Bills in Broadwell, Illinois on August 20-22.
This race is the premier 8th Late Model race in the country, with 75 cars showing up last year. There was also 75 Open Modified Sprint Cars and 40+ Nitro Sprint Cars! There will likely be 250+ total entries, and this is one of the most fun races of the entire year.
The track is high bite clay, but is run as a packed, but loose dirt track. In general, it gets pretty hooked up. It has 20 foot wide lanes, and overall dimensions are 120' long by 80' across. The track is high banked and has been reworked this spring to allow multiple groove racing. Run lime is about 260 feet on the bottom and 300 to 305 feet up high. The cushion is usually about in the middle so right around 280 feet.
This year, there will likely be the following classes:
-Open 1/8th scale Late Models (sidedams, foam tires, no chassis limitations)
-URL Spec 1/8th Limited Late Models (DLM2 spec tires, no offset chassis, no trick parts, no sidedams, no active/smart diffs or one ways)
-13.5 DODC Electric Late Model (Street Trac Spec Tires)
-Nitro Sprint Cars (Pin Spike Tires)
-Modified Sprint Cars (Pin Spike Tires)
I would love to have a group of California racers travel back to this race and represent, and show the country what us Cali-Boys can do!
This is not a list of racers who are definitely going, but a list of who thinks they want to go, and may be able to make it!
