Hello everyone, I have talk to Bruce at rc4less and he is going help me out for this event. I will have plenty of tires in all compounds in stock for the race. The price will be right, no worries. A lot of you guys have not been to SpeedWorld Raceway & Hobbies before so the ones that haven’t the prices on the tires, motors, ESC, and parts are very good. I will have DSM2, and tires for the sprint car and cdm cars. We have parts for the custom works sprinters in stock.
I will be carrying BSR and Custom Work also.
The hobby shop carries just about everything you need to go racing. It’s known to be called the largest little hobby shop in the WORLD, LOL.
If there is anything you guys need before the event or something I need to carry please let me know and I will order for stock.
Thanks Billy

One question that should help with tire selection: Will the track be sprayed for traction, or will it be run as bare asphalt? If the track is sprayed, will it be soda/sugar water, VHT or something else?

why is it $30.00 here and everyone else is $25.00 i was under the impression that it was $25.00 at every track for the botw ..... and what if i dont want a hotdog , is this why entry is $30.00 ?

I apologies for the mistake in the entry fee pricing. I was misinformed about the entry fee from two racers. I was just going by what I was told about the fees from all other tracks.
The entry will be $25.00 for the first class
You could have asked about that instead of attacking.

Know since that has been said, Tommy, stop bitching like a little girl than don't come. All the things I have done for you and your whinny on the internet about a $5.00 fee and bring up a generosity meal that we are giving everybody.
You could have asked about that instead of attacking.
That’s my 2 cents.hey i was just asking a question and wanted to know why is all , and if you dont want me there thats fine i wont show up plain and simple , in fact i just mite quit the whole botw if this is how i am going to get treated , you can come look me up in bakersfield and we can talk about it if you want , i do this for fun and if this is how i am going to get treated then i ll just quit all together

Ok guys, lets all take a step back, and take a deep breath.
Each track can set their own Entry Fee. I suggested each facility charge $25-30 for first entry, and $10-15 for additional entries. The first 2 races chose their own fees, as did Billy. Billy is including a Hot Dog!
Offroad series such as the JBRL charges $30 for first and $20 for additional classes. This includes 2 heats and a main, and no guaranteed practice.
We offer 3 heats and mains with bump-ups, as well as controlled practice, ensuring everyone practice time. So we offer more racing for less than or equal to what other comparable series charge for their programs.
For $25-30, you get 3 heats and a main event, at the minimum. This equates to 12 to 15 hours at the track with guys who love doing the same thing you love doing. You COULD instead go see a movie and enjoy a coke, popcorn, and red vines, and be out $30 and receive only 2 hours of entertainment.
Please see this from both sides gentlemen! Track owners need to make money to stay afloat, and continue to provide you with a place to race.
This is not directed at any one individual, but to all of the BotW racers as a whole. Please understand the reasoning behind the entry fees you pay.
Thanks for your time,
Matt

Hello everyone, FYI, you do not have to bring an air compressor. SpeedWorld will provide the air on site. No compressor or air tanks allowed in the pit area. If you have a compressor and you bring it for your use in your trailer, have your own generator please.
SpeedWorld is fully operational for all types of races.
Thank you.

Hello napabob1, yes you can bring your trailer. You will be about 150 feet from the track. If some you racers with trailers get at the track early, you can be closer. Only 3 or 4 trailer spots will be avaliable to be right next to the track. Early bird rises gets close to the track, lol.
Trailers are welcome......

Along those same lines, what kind of compounds are we looking at? and what kind of tire wear should we expect?
Matt Murphy
June 4th, 2010, 3:31 PM
I will be running Custom Works V2 and V3 tires like I ran at Racers Haven. I expect a bit more tire wear, but I only wore off my right sides from 2.50" to 2.48" on my electric sprint at Racers Haven. Left sides did not wear.
I would suggest no grooves, or minimal grooves. This will limit tire wear. My tires will likely be grooved, but I am running old tires from other races that were already trued/grooved.

billy is the one who arranges things with the county he is the one to really answer those things, might try calling the shop to see if tracy knows. the fence is around the track and is locked at night no in and out there. the area where the trailers and rv's would be is technically a back parking lot to the placer county grounds there is a fence but i have left there at 2 am before and it was still open i have not seen it closed and locked before. plus if one really wanted to get onto the fairgrounds from the other side they could so its not truly secure just like a house anyone can kick down a door.

Hello everyone, Just returned home for the on-road nitro nats, sorry for the delay on answering questionsThe snack bar with food, snacks and drinks will be open on Friday and Saturday.
The trailer issue is that no trailers inside the gate of the track, but you can leave them in the parking lot 100 feet away and if you’re planning to stay the night, I think it is $25.00 a night.
We have never had a thing stolen in 11 years and have had plenty of trailers and equipment stay inside and outside the gate trailers must have and use their own generators to operate.
There will be no alcohol on the premises opened or alcohol in cups with mixed drinks during the event. After the race you can drink. If found any person drinking during the event will be disqualified from the event and ask to leave the premises.
If you barbaque after the racing you can BBQ in side the gate, if you BBQ during the races the BBQ will be outside the gate, this also can be changed depending if I get fed, LOL.
Please do your part and keep the race park clean.
Thank you Billy

There was not a factory driver that didn't come up to her and hug her and said you did the best pitting anyone could ask for. It literally made her cry to see all the love from the factory drivers. I was a proud husband and friend. She was flawless and helped me with pit stops get to the semi's in both classes. In 1/8 scale, wait to you see the crank I broke in the first 3 minutes of the race, it broke in half at the throat, never seen anything like it before.
