If anyone needs to pre-order tires for Racers Haven, let me know what you will need.
I plan on having Custom Works Silver, Pink, V2 and V3 compounds.
I personally will be on V2 and V3 Tires and will be using CW Truespeed Magic "IT" tire additive on my tires.
If you need foams or additive, let me know so I can preorder tires for you. Racers Haven will also have these tires in stock, but the only way to guarantee the quantities you will need is to pre-order.

Matt, some foam tire advice for Racers Haven. My used CW foams have been stored coated with Gojo in baggies. I have CW silvers and pinks coming and have some Magic It (seems kind of toxic). Would you recommend treating the tires will in advance and storing in baggies or applying just before running them? No real experience here.
Thanks, Frank

Store with GOJO hand cleaner on them, in baggies. This puts moisture into them, and keeps moisture in them, then wipe clean and apply magic it 30 minutes before your run. Wipe dry before you go out. Clean with simple green after each run and repeat Magic it 30 minutes before your next run.

I don't think you will want to run silvers or pinks on the asphalt. I think tire wear and side bite would be excessive. I would think that purple will be a good tire choice on 1/10th scale cars for Roseville. The softest tires I would run would be maybe RC4Less Magentas or Bronze. I've never tried gas foams or the "V" rubber, maybe one of them would work as well.

I would not run grooving on the asphalt, as the grooving will cause the tire to wear faster and more unevenly. There should be plenty of bite, and on asphalt you can use liberal amounts of traction compound. I do not plan on grooving my tires at Racers Haven either, unless more side bite is needed.

OK I have no idea about anything to do with foam tires... I was thinking about ordering some but I have no idea what or where from? I will have to make a run to Billy's and see someone there first hand (I hope it's not too much $$$ LOL)

How do the high rubber content tires work in relation to natural foam tires of the same shore rating? (i.e. V2-silver, V3-pinks)
I'm showing up with an arsenal of RC4Less tires, silvers, pinks, magentas. it's what I have and am used to so it's what's on the menu for me.

Cant tell you the difference but I can tell you that you can't go wrong with silvers. I have never run anything else on the track when sealed and my cars always have more than enough grip.

Silver, Gold, Magenta, Pink, and Purple are not natural foam tires. Silver and gold are exotic foam rubber compounds which makes them very gummy tires. Magenta, pink, and purple are foam tires with natural rubber in them. These tires shine on tracks that can build heat into the tires, as this makes the rubber in them grip harder, yet wear less than the exotic compounds. CW V-Series tires are another type of foam with a high rubber content. V-Series tires respond well to Extremely High Bite tracks.
Natural foam tire compound include yellow, green, and blue. These contain no rubber, thus wear very quickly.
I know the haven locals like to run silvers, and they work very well, but wear extremely poorly. If you are a racer that sees tires as an expendable item, silvers will do you well. If you don't want to kill tires, look to the natural rubber type tires.
I know I will be on V-Series tires.
Mayhew will be on silvers, and he WILL be very hard to beat in 10.5 LM....
