Season starts May 15th

Is everyone ready for the 2010 season opener? Well, your wait is almost over.....Starting at 5PM this year, opening day is May 15th. Bill has made some more changes this year adding more banking in 3-4 thus giving the racers another groove to race in. I have a few pics I'll post of the work in progress.....pit lane has been extended about 20' in turn 4. He added aprox 12-14" of dirt in turns 3-4.....I look forward to seeing Mr GFRP and Mr Dynotech battling it out on the cushion this yr.

Should be a awesome turn-out of nitro sprints this yr....Bill sold 7-8 nitro sprints in the last few months....electric sprints, nitro truck/EDM, 1/8th LM and 13.5 LM will also be running weekly. If there is enough interest, Bill will also be looking for the 13.5 sprints to come out too. Time to be getting ready.....rain is in the forcast for this weekend, next weekend is mothers day weekend, so May 15th......5PM first race starts.....Bring a friend.....

Once we get the track all smoothed out, I'll post some more pics, but these will give an idea of the additional banking in 3-4.

Don't worry Bob, the hobby shop is STOCKED.....LOL.

Here are the pics after we smoothed everything out....added some dirt in 2 also, it was getting a low spot.....

Oh ya, almost forgot....Bill said there will be a Slash class also.....not sure of all the rules yet but I think he said 95% stock.....bunch of people asking about running them.....Bring em on out!

Track looked dry cause when I went to water the track....power was out......wind was causing problems I guess.....the extra banking should make for some great racing.....

Weather is looking good for the season opener this Saturday night.....who all is planning on making it? I know Bill and Deb are looking forward to seeing everyone again.....

P.S. Last pics are from last Monday....we tilled up the entire track, drug it, watered it, drug it some more......now its smooth and should be fast! Can't wait to see some trying the high line in 3-4 now....How about it Jenzo? LOL

Track looks great, I'm giving serious consideraton to making the trip down, I'll have an open sprint, 13.5 sprint and 13.5 Late Model, I won't run all three, just want to be prepared. LOL:greenflag:

I am thinking about coming down for the 15th with my 1/8 nitro latemodel since my home track is having an offroad race that day. Do you usually have enough of these to run a class i would hate to make this trip and not be able to run.

We normally have at least 6-8, 1/8th scales.....you don't have to worry about none being there.....I'm sure everyone is dying to get out of the house and do some racing.....

Leaving Peoria track meet now (Coale Dolbert finished 7th overall in the boys 7th grade high jump at the state finals IESA meet today)......Bill was painting the lines on track when I called him.....so far so good.....
