-Track will be run "WET". In order to ensure equal track conditions for all racers, we will have a posted watering schedule, that will be strictly adhered to.
Watering Schedule is as follows:
-Round 1: Heats 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25 will get water before their heats.
-Round 2: Heats 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 23, 26 will get water before their heats.
-Round 3: Heats 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24 will get water before their heats.
There will be NO RESORTS, as this will ensure all racers get a fresh watered track once, and only once.
Mains will have fresh water as needed.

Now that we are running a wet track, What is that going to do for everyones Sprint and CDM setups? I think most guys were setting there cars up for a loose ,dry dirt track. Who know now but maybe street tracks and offsets will be ok . I guess I better bring more tires.:tire::tire::tire::tire:

Phil - I have never been to rescue... so I do not know what to expect traction wise. Bruce told me the track holds together better, is faster, and more consistent running wet. This is their track, and I am trusting their judgement on track prep... no matter what, I am looking forward to another fun race with all my friends...old and new!
Who is ready to have some more fun playing with TOY CARS? I know I certainly am!!!

as a local i can say bring brushes to clean your stuff that 2 oz of dirt might change your whole set up.... LMAO!!! normally we start wet and it dries a bit and cracks but if hes gonna water it that much it will be interesting to say the least even i am used to a loose setup and have set up to run loose so by the end of the day i am dialed... i guess not now... i will be a squirrel...

Well, then i guess this will make it 2 for 2, with races where the locals have no advantage, because the racing surface is different from what they normally run..... Sounds interesting to me! If you are running on a pin spike track, and do not expect to need to clean your car between runs, you are silly... ;)
Track condition rule #1....Its the same for everybody!!!

Actually, Racers Haven is a wet dirt track right now, as it usually is. It will be getting sealer just in time for the race. None of our guys have raced on sealer this year except for the ones that raced at CVR..... So everyone in the series will have as good of a chance as any at Racers Haven.
We will have an advantage simply because we have the best drivers/racers...:o OHHH I just went there!!!
LOL!
Matt
See you all Friday!

Like Justin said we usually start out with a very heavy track with considerable mud removal after a run. Normally by the end of the second run we're blowing the dust off of the cars. I live 12 miles from the track and we had an inch of rain yesterday and 4 tenths so far today. A brief heavy rain and hail shower about an houir ago. It's forecast to be in the low to mid 50's tomorrow and mid 50's friday but dry. Not getting a lot of help from the weather gods. I quite honestly don't know what to expect this weekend except that we'll be chasing the same track. LOL

The only place you will find loose dirt is out of the groove, (marbles) The rounds he waters will only be a lite water to keep some moisture in the track. No body is going to be running in the mud. The first minute of the race the track will be a little slick, most of the time it comes back before warm up is over. We ran this Sunday and the Latemodels were on a record pace 44-47 lapes in 5 minutes.
Phil,
All i did is change tires on my CCM when i won the shoot out at Brentwood. Same gear, shockoil, springs. The track is hooked up, It's not dirt asfalt but it's hooked up. Everybody is going to have to drive there car this time and pay the penelty for getting out of the groove.

Pete - That is what I was expecting...bite in the groove, loose out of it. The watering will be very light, just enough to keep the track from getting dry/slick/dusty. The track prep and maintenance is in Bruce's hands, and I am certain he will get us a great track. The track will likely start out the weekend "heavy" due to the rain the past few days... but it will have all day today to dry out, and if running wet, its best to start with moisture in the track. I expect some track records to fall this weekend..... and I am looking forward to another exciting 15 minute 8th scale Super Late Model A-Main, although I won't be in this one.....
Frank - I suspect we will all be chasing the conditions, as we will be waiting for the track to go from heavy, to tacky....
I insisted to Bruce that we change to 2 qualifiers on Saturday, and give everyone more practice time. He was up for it, so we will all have more time to catch up to the track, although I dont think we will have too much of a problem, as the track should have more bite wet.....
