The format is one that racers seem to enjoy. There is a substantial cash payout, but it's based on consistent running and not one or two lucky or fast races (take your pick).

Love the format for this race. Looking forward to it. Long range forcast has a chance of rain in it though w/temps in the mid to upper 60's. Im sure that will change a couple times before Saturday.
Im in for Nitro EDM & 13.5 LM, possible Mod Sprint.

With the format of the Champion Dash, we will move the start time up 90 minutes. Track will open at 10:00 (1 hour early). We hope to have practice starting between 12:00 and 1:00. With the new track-size tarp coming in this week, it should be a lot easier and faster removing and installing the track cover. We will shoot to start the first qualifier at 4:00.
Remember the format: One qualifier to place you in with like competition/# of laps for three A-mains (no bump ups or transfers). Three main results are secretly tabulated, worst main is thrown out and your best two are added together to determine the final placement. All results are posted after the races.
Registration is $20, additional classes will be $15.00. Dash plates given out to each participant. This is the only scheduled cash race of the season (except for the Limited LM 100 lap race on June 12.

If the other nitro EDM guys don't mind, I don't see a problem with it. I'm expecting the Nitro EDM class to have a low car count compared to the other classes so as long as they don't mind.

I made a mistake--again! The electric sprint class is an open class. It is not necessarily a limited class limited to a 6.5 brushless.

Well, I hope to make this race, but I have a pool playoff @ 2 & w/the new start time it's going to be hard to do, but im going to do my best.
Curious though, if you dont run your qualifier are you able to put a racer @ the back of a main?

You would be placed in the lowest Main. The good thing about the race format, you can still win the whole thing no matter what Main you qualify. If you are going to be late, it is best to do our preregistration so I have you in the system. Hope you can make it, Keith.

Weather forecast for Saturday looks great! Please try to preregister. It costs you nothing, speeds up registration time for you so you have more time to practice or wrench on the car. Remember track opens at 10:00 and racing is scheduled to start at 4:00.

Let me be the first to say last night was different and fun. It looks like my car is heading back the right direction...still have work to do but it's going the right direction.
Now if we could do something about that broken furnace at the track  LOL. MAN it was severly chilly to cold last night between the temps and the wind. Over all though I think everyone had fun and kept thier spirits up..............................if they were not blown into the next county:rolleyes:;):D
Finally a special thanks goes out to my wife who made a 2 hr round trip to bring myself and the rest of TBRC some extra sweatshirts and jackets.....................she's getting a night out for that above and beyond duty.

I thought we should rename the race The Freeze, but that's already taken. The Chill would have been appropriate too, but someone said we should have called it The Breeze-even though "breeze" doesn't do the 35MPH wind gusts justice!

Good thing I managed to get in the "cash".....I'm gonna need it to help cover my Phenmonia bill ! LOL
Just kidding! But seriously it was a fun night and I want to thank Scott and the rest of the Staubs crew for thier efforts to give us a nice track and somewhere to go and race. From the looks of it,they put a TON of work into the facility to make it a great place to race. And thier nice guys too. I knew it was a nice cash payout race, but I was shocked to see just how much cash was given out to so many racers. And the "Lucky Dog" drawing money just made my night! I won it! So thanks Staubs crew...
I also want to thank the usual guys who I pitted with that were alot of help as always. Especially want to than Kris and Ryan Pasarcik and their dad Marty for all thier help and as well. Thanks guys!
