short course late models

Scott would like to start a class for oval , short course trucks with 1/8 scale late model bodies on them. Sounds like a good class for some one wanting to try oval.

I do not have rules set in place yet, but I would like to shoot for a 2wd and 4wd class. The 4wd would be pretty open, but I do want to restrict the 2wd class.

If any one has time to research this class that is being raced at other locations, please let me know what you find out about their rule packages.

They ran 2wd short course latemodels @ the race @ the Barn in Jeff City,MO. Basically stock truck, 17.5 brushless + latemodel body,(1/8th scale bodies fit), w/stock wheels & tires. I think that would be cool EXCEPT let them change wheels & tires, or even run 1/8th scale wheels & tires to allow them to have a wider selection. I haven't seen any 4wd short course latemodels, but I think it would be cool to let them run open...max 2 cell lipo, any motor, any tire,(as long as it doesn't rip the track to hell), side dams anybody?
