Actually Matt, Tim has been at BRC every saturday for the 3 weeks or so,running his 10.5 and LM. He even calls some races and helps with the scoring..... But no big deal. Put him were you want, he will always be welcome at BRC. I didn't realize you could overrule his choice ..... BTW when was the last time Jay ran his nitro Sprint at K&C?;)

Well if the track is smooth enough there will be 1/10LM wanting to race I'm sure, there's gonna be a butt load of cars period LOL!!!!!!!!!!!I'm thinking about building a CDM just because they look fun to run.:thumbsup:

what you are seeing is oval racing on its way back, three years ago we had full classes of sprints and those EDM things as you call them. What has happend at Rescue is that offroad grew so big so fast with the 1/8 scale classes that the oval guys sit most of the day waiting to run and intrest was lost. I my self gave up oval raceing and ran offroad for those long mains untill the 1/8 scale LM class was started. I now no longer own a offroad car however i now have 3 oval cars and 2 more on the way.

Never thought i would see Matt Murphy this far north untill i saw him at BRC last year, him and Allen and now this series. We are just starting this series and i can't wait untill next year.

LOL...I swore I would NEVER race Dirt Oval on pin spikes... But now I see that there are many ways to bake a cake. I don't care anymore what the details are, I just wanna go fast and turn left with all my friends that love doing the same thing!

This will be my first trip to Rescue.... I am open minded and optimistic about this race!

I to can't wait for next year already, being my wife is expecting any week now and I'm not allowed to leave town until bristol is born I will end up missing most of the races! But right now I know of three guys selling all there off road cars to get oval cars! This is exciting! I don't think most guys don't understand what matt has done for us! This is huge I'm estimating by next year best of the west tour grows by almost half! I have non stop been awnsering questions for cvrs off road crew about what they need to get into oval! I hope by next year the tracks can get together and take some of the work load off of matt! And maybe just maybe nor cal hobbies will see what they missed out on and bring back there oval! Lol.hopefull tim will rub it in there noses a little! But anyways let's keep this up guys! Brandon

I had planned on making it to the race at Rescue, but I had some family plans keep me from making the trip. I am truly bummed that I will not be there, but I do hope that the 10.5 Latemodel class does run there. For guys who may be thinking about doing that class, here is something I was going to try...

HPI makes a rally tire that with some minor bead modification will fit on a B4 wheel and can be used on the rear of a CW GBX type car (LM or Sprint). The tire is a knobby type tire but it is very low profile so it should fit the car similar to the street-trac tires. It comes in two compounds, M and S. The M is pretty hard, so I think the S compound would be the better choice. The HPI part number is 4475 for the M compound and 4476 for the S. I was planning on trying the HPI tires on the rear and the street-tracs on the front. Not sure if it would have worked, but I wanted to thow the info out in case anyone else wanted to give it a try.

They MIGHT have the battery powered classes covered, but I know we can show these guys up in NITRO. Thanks Tommy, you and Mike Isham did awesome on pit stops and pit strategy, all I did was pull the throttle and hold my breath LOL.... I was so stoked to even make the A-main and honored to get to race door to door with guys like Mishaga, Webster, Whitlow and Seaton. I am so bummed I have to miss the BRC race, was hoping to get a shot at another A-main. BRC is gonna be so wicked fast, and the sealed surface is gonna make for some great door to door racing action, but I will miss the Friday night racers social the most. All of the guys in the BoTW are the greatest bunch of guys, I've raced my whole life and never met such a great bunch of racers and people in general. Good luck to everyone in BRC:thumbsup:
