SmacTrac is back for 2010

Dirt oval is returning for the summer of 2010!

Racing will take place on Friday nights starting at 7:00pm.

My plan for now is to have a practice night on Wednesdays, but may decide to make it another race night in the near future.

I do not have a start date yet, but I am plannin on early May!

I was gonna get a sheet of graphite to do the same thing. I still have the Kyosho sprint car that I made, but it is too expensive and hard to find parts for.

You can use the nitro GT front end that bolts on to a flat plate.

all dodc classes,but the classes that do happen are, sprint car,mdm, 13.5 LM wcis rules,and mini lm. also offroad cars are welcome believe there was a heat of slash/sc10.

Tonight was it for off road,Wednesday April 28th will be the first race on the oval also Fridays will be a racing night.

There is a very slim chance that the track could be finished enough to run on Saturday if needed. I will do what I can, but it would take alot of help on Saturday to make it happen. Lots of raking!!!

It would prolly be a 7:00 start if we were able to get it ready in time.

In the future, I would also be willing to open for a Saturday race day if we know enough in advance that there will be an outdoor rainout.

Track was starting to take shape when everybody threw in the towel tonight. Gonna be back over there early to finish it up. Lots of work to be done still, so all help is welcome. Should be a fast track tomorrow night that's for sure. :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Jason, bring the sprints, & If you got a latemodel bring it too. As MiniT21 said, the track IS shapping up. There has already been a bunch of hard work put in to get this track converted to an oval, still plenty more to do, but with some help, it'll get done. This saturday was supposed to be Maryville's opening day, but the dreaded R word has threatened to kill that. The Maryville thread is supposed to make an official announcement by 10-11 am as to what's gonna happen, then GAME ON for racing @ Smac. Odds are looking very favorable to racing SMAC indoor dirt oval instead of Maryville if the R word continues.

I (and Ed) talked to Scott tonight and he said if Maryville gets rained out that he will race both Friday and Saturday night.

Scott worked on the track this week and all I can say it is awesome. The 13.5 street trax tires seem to work good on all the cars.

I really enjoyed running the 13.5 late model. Smac is a great track, and a great facility.
Scott does an awesome job with the track. It is a first class program.
