I talked to the gear guy and the smallest spurs he has are 78t. Biggest pinion is 40t.

Sounds like he would be interested in making different ones if there is enough people interested. It would be better to make 1 size spur that we know would sell rather than a wide range that might not sell a lot of.

How small a spur would you guys want?

Sorry Ed, rules say you can only run Losi gears.

:D

They make up to 128 on the spurs and I'm sure they would make you a great deal on them. Since brushless came out and everybody went to smaller spurs, they can't sell anything that big.

You can buy direct from their website.

Mike, Jeremy & I have been running 69 tooth 48 pitch spurs on the latemodels. I had a real problem, when the track was moist, the gears were getting full of dirt. I would imagine that a 64 pitch would get wasted under those conditions. On the flip side of that, the tracks are usually NOT as "moist" or heavy at bigger races like the WCIPS races, so a 64 pitch could work.

I'm going to try 64 pitch right now just because I have a lot of old stuff laying around. I'm going to make a cover/deflector to try to keep most of the dirt out.

I got my late model finally all put together and running last night.....although I have a 81t spur and 34t pinion in it because that is about all I had lying around.

Anyways, yeah I def need to pick up some more gearing options.
