Hey Matt, I just realized Rescue falls on the same day as my mom's 60th birthday, so I'm not going to make it....

Tim, If you promise to wash it, not to let your drunk buddies throw up in the back seat, and bring it back with gas in it, maybe we can work something out where you can take the GBX with you after Madera and I'll get it back from you in Bako.

April 15th, 2010, 2:49 PM
what will be the raceday scedule be for these days?

Matt Murphy
April 15th, 2010, 3:12 PM
Actually, I do not know yet... I will get with the Rescue Guys this weekend to discuss it. The Rescue Race is the one series race I really am not going to be the one making all the calls. This is their own Big Race, and they are running it all their own way, and I am sure it will be a great race. They were happy to let our series join them. They may have a schedule posted somewhere....

I will look around.

April 15th, 2010, 5:17 PM
Entries for which payment is NOT received will not be entered in the event
The dedline for all entries is april 30!

So This race we must pre enter????

as from what I seen the list that Matt post is just a list of people that PLAN to make the race not an entry.

April 15th, 2010, 5:21 PM
this is what i read of the rescue website.
i could be wrong though

Tim Copp
April 15th, 2010, 9:39 PM
Ok i checked out their site and printed out a form to take with me this weekend maybe someone form there will have some also. looks like they allready have a big race for that weekend and we are just adding round two to it and they have a cap on number of people.

Bullhead57
April 16th, 2010, 12:20 AM
There should be no problem the entry cap is more for the off road during the harvest classic so they can run 45 min. A mains and that cap is 150 entries and then fill any small heats.

Matt Murphy
April 16th, 2010, 4:04 AM
I will talk to the Rescue guys this weekend. But I am sure we will get all the series racers into the race..... If not, well.... lets not go there yet.

There is no point of having a series for points, and not letting everyone race. And being the only 2-day show, it is rediculous to think we cannot get it all in. With only one race longer than 5 minutes..... the Mains will take 2 hours less to run than the offroad programs. If the race program is run halfway efficiently, we will be just fine.

More on this after CVR!

Matt

Bullhead57
April 16th, 2010, 11:05 AM
Trust me there will not be a problem,. this seires race is what will make this a big race and no one running the seires will be left out due to a cap

Matt Murphy
April 18th, 2010, 9:28 PM
Thanks Pete for the update.... there will be no problem for our racers.... although Rescue would really like the racers to sign up via their online signups, and receive payments before the 30th.

BJake
April 21st, 2010, 1:58 PM
I spoke with Bruce early this week and he said it was looking like friday practice until 5:00 ish (so that people could go to the Placerville speedway).

Sat he would run the single car qualifier for the Late Models, then 3 rounds of qualifying. Sunday would be another round of qualifying and then the mains.

You can practice at Rescue 7 days a week. Its alway open from 9:00am to 6:00 pm for FREE

Bullhead57
April 21st, 2010, 7:59 PM
The oval will be closed from Wednesday 4/28 through Friday 4/30 at the start of practice to prepair for the Best of the West Dirt Oval and will be to wet to run on. It is open to the public all other times and that is why the track can be rough at times but for this race it will be smooth.
