BEST of the WEST Series Points System

Points will be awarded as Follows:
-2 bonus points for TQ
-2 Bonus points for each race attended
-Best 3 finishes out of 5 – ***Two Throw-Outs***
-If a driver TQs a class, but that race finish is his throwout, the TQ points are still awarded to his overall total. TQ points and Attendance points are Bonus points, and will be added to the 3 best finishes for each racer. Maximum points attainable is 320. 3 wins, 5 TQ’s and 5 races attended can achieve this.

In the event of a tie, we will use the following to determine who wins the tie-breaker:

First tie-breaker: Best Main Event Finish
Second tie-breaker: Second Best Main Event Finish
Third tie-breaker: Best Throwout Main Event Finish

For the sake of consistency, last years tie breakers will be used again this year, in case of a tie.
