CVR Race Postponed

Due to weather, the series race scheduled for saturday April 3rd at CVR has been postponed and tentatively rescheduled for April 17th. The track is too wet too work with already, and we are expecting much more rain in the next 3 days. We apologize for the inconvenience to the racers, but want to give you guys the best possible track to race on! Pencil in the 17th on your calendars, and I will confirm that date in the next few days.

Thanks for the prompt early notice, I think that is gonna make for a better weekend for most, no Easter the day after, then you can run 3 heats with no worries. I have been wondering If i was gonna make it through the weekend LOL, Wedding Anniv Friday night, leave at 1am sat morning to race all day and get home around 2am sunday morning and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the kids for easter LOL!!!!

Hey Matt, what is it they say about great minds? I posted a question in the schedule thread about a possible rain date due to the forecast 15 minutes before your post. Thanks for the early heads up. Just changed my reservation. See you all in a couple of weeks.

Its flat coming down right now thankfully we got tarps cuz cvr could not handel anymore water! Can't wait to see you all in two weeks, and it gives us time to talk a lil more trash! Lol

I hope you guys can all get your reservations adjusted to the new race date..... I called it as soon as I had doubt of a good track because of the weather. Hope I gave you guys early enough notice..... Maybe Mishaga can make it down now....:p

Ok guys if there is intrest in a two day show we need to have all the racers input by the end of the weekend! I don't want to hurt anybodies chances of coming by changing from a one day show to a two day show. Hopefully moving the race from easter weekend will bring more guys to the race. one or two days ok with me as long if its a two day we have a BBQ saturday night and 4 lap grudge matchs.

I am calling Mishaga out.... because I already told everyone Allan Webster is gonna lay it down, but then Brandon says Ray-Ray is gonna bring it..... and we will have a very fast old man coming out to play....Gary Kyes from Losi will be here..... and Rolland was breaking in his new fire breathing dragon.... and now Jason Smith has 2 more weeks to get his Mugen 8th Scale out!

i vote one day show i cant stay overnight that far away. the postponment due to weather i can understand and agree with. changing the schedule from 1 to 2 day events is kinda sour grapes. some of us have other races to attend day before of after those posted ones. changing points series around too much kills them.

I understand your point Phantom.... I am leaning toward a one day show. About 80% decided that direction... 2 days = another day of costs for everyone.... and I dont want guys spending any more $$$ than necessary.

I'm on board for the one day program with practice the afternoon/evening before. With the 5 race schedule it's already a big investment just in transportation and lodging for the guys that are seriously committed to the series.

I totally agree with you guys I live 45min away it don't matter to me, but I fill that if making it a two day show even hurts one racers chance of coming than we should keep it one day show!

it does not matter to me i am one of the redding guys and we have the farthest to travel then most if not all the other racers , i had planned on coming down friday and staying until sunday morning , whatever you decide is ok with me

OK....So we will stick with the one day program, and same schedule as before, just 2 weeks later. Friday afternoon/evening practice, Saturday race day.

Cross your fingers and hope mother nature works with us this time...

I really was itchin to race, It was hard for me to call it off, cause I want to race with you all so bad. A few more weeks and it will be time for some awesome racing. Mother nature better work with us, or we will have to make the race later in the year.
