Thank You to those that could make the meeting last night and formulate the plans to complete the new track. It was obvious that we all have the same goal of making this a top-notch looking and racing facility!

In Attendance: Phil Q, Jerry C, Tom R, Tom F, Todd P, Bob G, Darrin P, Dave B, Kirt, Howie, Ollie

Next full work day April 3, Saturday 8:00 am til we drop (seriously, any time you have is appreciated)

General Information
• The outside walls will be our typical plywood backed white plastic.
• The walls will be lower that we have built in the past, no higher than 14”
• Inside will use a clay burm 4” high, 6-10” inside of the groove with gaps for water drainage
• The infield and areas outside of the track will be grass
• No pit road, but a large pull-off/on area outside of turn 1

In the meantime:
• Anyone can stop and rake the stones and asphalt off the racing groove. Place the debris in the old back stretch area, as this will be covered with new material.
• Preserve the new pit tables (Howie to lead)
• Pick up all debris and rotten material from old track, take to landfill (Ollie will have Town of Colonie Pass)

Work needed to complete:
1. New Clay mixed into the existing surface for consistency, anyone have a dump truck??
2. Remove tree (Howie)
3. Install a 3” wiring chase under the track from the scoring shack to the light pole area
4. Move Scoring Shed to new turn 2 area
5. Build covered area near scoring for tech
6. Lower and secure the drivers stand (Jay B)
7. Build handicap drivers stand on new backstretch, north of the tree
8. Re-aim big lights (Jay B need a man-lift)
9. Re-work power to big lights
10. Mount and wire big square light
11. Repair electric in center of track
12. Install two catch basins in the infield, one in turn 3-4 the other in the middle
13. Install Scoring Loop Wire
14. New water feed directly from cabin (Tom F)
15. Permanent sprinklers (Donated by Howie) (Tom F)
16. Pit Table Repair and construct two new (Bob H being asked)

Jason has volunteer the use of his tractor with bucket, blade and post hole digger (Hooo-Ray !!)
Anyone else with appropriate equipment in welcome to chime in and coordinate here.

Major Re-construction Day

Mother Nature is granting us on unbelievable forecast and a fantastic opportunity to get a huge amount of work done. Hopefully you can make it. I will be there at 8:00. Any amount of time you can spend helping will be appreciated.

Please see the list of things to be done at the top of this post. Bring the tools necessary and appropriate for what you can help with. Wheelbarrows will be a help as we don't have a functioning one at the moment.

Jason has volunteered the use of his tractor, complete with post hole digger, (which I know has disappointed a few with fond memories of digging holes last year)

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help get the facility face lift ready to use, whether that's this weekend of any time in the future.

See Ya.......At The Track

Talked to Ollie[sp?] and she said that they aren't working that site right now, but that could change any day. She will call me when they start working across the street again. Meanwhile if anyone knows of another place to get some fill, let me know.
