We want to thank everyone for their positive comments about last year's new concessions trailer and food choices. There will be several changes and upgrades for 2010 so we can serve our customers even better.
We will be purchasing a larger commercial deep fryer prior to the start of the season. French fries and chicken strips were our best sellers last season. We hope there will be less wait to serve this type of food this season.
We are considering hooking up a separate PA system to the concessions trailer so we can announce when orders are ready.
We are looking into purchasing a hot dog roller grille instead of boiling our hot dogs.
The biggest change will be in the hours of operation. It is not cost-effective to keep the trailer open as long as we did last year. Concession trailer hours will be 3:00 to 8:00 or possibly 2:30 to 7:30. A variety of drinks will be available throughout the day even when the concessions trailer is closed. Hopefully this will eliminate the down time that we experienced during non-peak hours. It just wasn't efficient to keep the concessions open for 8-10 hours on a regular race day (that didn't include prep or clean up time). For bigger races, the hours will be increased.
As always, your ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
