2010 Track-Side Hobby Shop

We will be running the track-side hobby shop this year sponsored by Bumps and Jumps RC Speedway. The hobby shop will return to the shed. A brand new point of sales system was purchased this week. We will be able to print customer receipts and have the option for drivers to run a tab and pay at the end of the night. We will have the essentials in stock by opening weekend with the plan to expand our product base as the season progresses.

Good question, Toby. We can only accept cash or check. We do not havean Internet connection back at the track. I really don't want to get into that expense of getting the equipment and service plus paying the credit card companies a percentage of the sales on top. We just don't have the sales volume to make it worth the costs for us. Sorry.

I want to thank Scott, Todd, and Justin for running their shop this year. Bowie and I were talking today - it will be so nice not having to work on race days. ;)

New Point-of-Sale equipment has been purchased and some equipment and software has already arrived. Waiting on two more pieces of equipment and we'll have a complete system.

POS equipment and software is all installed and working. Now the fun to figure out how everything works. :ha:
