Ill give you a maybe on the E Sprint. Someones got to turn marshall. I like running multiple classes, but there's usually not enough time in the program to put solid efforts into all the cars.

Brandon Believe it or not I had 2 Losi lm one with the offset chassis and one with stk chassis the exact same setup on both Ran both at brc and the stk chassis car was way better and I tried A few different things on the offset car it just was alot touchier The stk Chassis was more forgiving. I beleive that from my testing that the offset car would be better on very high bite tracks as running both cars on Blacktop the offset car felt way better Due to the grip level if this makes sense. But as the grip level goes away the stk chassis lets the car roll more and creates more sidebite Like i said above i tried alot of different things on the offset car and it still was twitchy and hard to drive compared to the stk chassis I can tell more what all i did and or tried when i come down there in a couple of weeks

What iv learned with offsetting something is the window is much smaller to get the setup perfect! I fought offset karts for awhile and finally I went back to straight up kart and it felt like I could make up the difference with my driving! A lot of guys forget you gotta turn right to go left some times! Lol

i think i should put a 13.5 or 17.5 in my car
that car is a handfull
Matt Murphy
March 13th, 2010, 1:26 AM
You can run Buggy tires too....any rubber tire. This track has never run foam tires, and although we expect the track to groove up, we are sticking with the club's tire rules.
Street Tracs have worked great there in the past, and just in case mother nature doesnt play nice, Pin spikes would not be a bad option.
Matt
NOTE:
We need 10 entries minimum in each of the DODC Classes to earn National DODC points. That means both sprint classes are looking good, but we need a few more 10.5 late models.
Matt Murphy
March 13th, 2010, 1:30 AM
I am going to be running a 13.5 in my late model. I have never ran my car and been able to use more than 13.5 power.

I'm at about 50% on making it to this race, if I do make it put me down for 10.5 latemodel and SCT. No guarantees, as this is a tough weekend to travel for me...but I will do my best to support this series. 1/8th latemodel still intrigues me, but $$$ are short for me right now.

Matt
The number was handed down to me from my grandfather.lol and anyways what's up with "x" seriously pick a real number!!!! Lol
Matt Murphy
April 5th, 2010, 3:56 PM
Brandon,
"X" is a number. It is the Roman numeral for "10". "X" has been around alot longer than "1" has.....Roman numerals were used much early than our current number system...... So dont think of "X" as not being a number, think of it as my old school number...... And for the record, your Grandpa may have earned the Number 1..... but you have not..... LOL
And at the 2009 Open Wheel Championships, the number "X" ended up with a Championship, a runner up spot, and a 5 th place run. Not so much for the number "1".
X is different..... I understand how someone can be scared of different, and new things. Its ok... we will take it easy on you. However...... in 2011, ONLY series Champions will be allowed to run #1.
And before you start knocking on my colors, my cars glow in the dark..... everyone knows where my car is on the track...... Your black and red....... just blends in, so if ya get smushed like a bug, you may wanna rethink your colors, and numbers.....LOL

Well, I will just say that everyone will be able to find my cars on the track, who it is behind....only time will tell. I am just hoping to beat half the field.... with the quality of racers coming out, I will be content with that.
California Dirt Oval Racers are in for a show! I don't think guys realize just how many fast guys are in California. If you are expecting to win, you may wanna just aim for the A-Main.... I am trying to be real in my expectations, because we have some steep competition!
Now, smack talking.... I will likely be behind Brandons red and black turd.... before I lap him!

Yah I had a great time Thanks go out to Matt And all of the people that worked hard to make this happen. But in the 15 years that I have been RC racing I have never seen such a poor Race Director I saw many times that he started races with guys not lined up correctly I realize that there were a few problems with the computer and so on but to just start races with cars positioned incorrectly is not fair. Next time to make things a little easier we can make sure everyone is in the rite spot by having them stop on the back straight and do a position check before starting a parade lap then go 2 or 3 laps and then throw the green also instead of just telling the other drivers to follow behind a certain color car (which some guys couldnt figure out due the fact that they are colorblind) make sure that everyone Knows who the leader is before they even hit the track.
See ya All next time Bob

hay that was a fun time thanks Matt and all you guys for the hard work it was fun and a good show all and all
but the only thing we need to get numbers on the cars or some thing this is for you guys in the 1/8 LM B main you know how you are cant even line up right. I hope we all can do a better job next time that was lame man!! we all have done this before it's not that hard
since cary is beign so nice I guess i will say it, Pink and Black car learn how to start a race, you can't run 80mph on pace laps, if you would have just slowed to an idle on the back stretch we could have all lined up and been on our way. Put a number on your car eveyone can read, so the race director isn't telling everyone" find the pink and black car" there were 4 black cars out there for christ sake. That should be a notice to everyone racing, RACE CARS HAVE FRICKEN NUMBERS PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Having numbers on the cars is cool and we should all have them, but in reality it's not a rule that people have to run them....so not all racers will have them. It is up to the race director to control such situations and this race director did a poor job of that.
I don't think we will have to worry about having the same race director for the remainder of the series.
Thank you Matt and the whole CVR crew for working so hard to put this race on. I had a great time and got to meet some cool new people:thumbsup:

Jason, I agree with the number deal, I know the numbers wouldn't solve everything, I actually thought it was the race directors fault also, i just didn't want to look like i was bashing anyone imparticluar, I know that Matt will make it right for the next race, there was some awsome racing, but it would have been even better if he would have took control of many of the situations that arose. The race director rules the race track, if guys can't do their job and line up right then he can kick em to the rear. Anyhow, I thought is was still an awsome race weekend, for the first event ever for the staff promoting this deal it was excellent.

Sorry to tell you the Pink and Black car did just fine the 1st 2 starts it was the race Director and laptop that made you guys have to restart 5 times and the pink and black car was off the track for the last 3 restarts as he flamed out and his starter box was in his pits so the last 3 restarts there was NO pink and Black car to line up behind something the RACE DIRECTOR did not see, He started the race from the pits on the last start.

Well guys, either way, passing blame is unnecessary.... nothing positive will come out of it. I take full responsibility, and I apologize for it.
Next race, pit men will hold the cars on the back straight and top the cars off, in the correct order, there will be a signal to the pit guys to release the cars, and off of turn 4, they will take the green. only gotta go 1/4 of a lap in line. If we cant accomplish that, we will do standing starts, with a down and quiet.
