The further south the storm is kept the better ....but from what I have seen Baltiomre north into Pa (about York or so) looks to be in the "bad zone". This one could shut down alot of weekend plans :( ....................ever have one of those times you hope to be wrong ????

Looks like Phila to Harrisburg is in a 6-12 inch snow fall weather band..... at 6 inches I'm in, at 12 inches I'm doing snow removal, and there's always next week, guess I'll make m decision 8:00 am Sat :confused:

Here is the latest - I will post updates as I here more

The storm is gathering over the south, with 30 hours or so before it gets here, so there remains some uncertainty on the storm track, a 50 mile change could make a large difference in snow fall amounts. The snow threat is from Friday afternoon until Saturday afternoon, perhaps accumulating between 6 and 10 inches. The bulk of the snow will occur south of the turnpike. This system is shaping up in a very similar way to the December 19th, 2009 event, however temperatures will be warmer which may keep snow accumulations down. - Just an fyi in Decemeber we got 2 feet of snow and we are just south of the turnpike. It looks like the north may get no snow and md south may get the brunt of the storm.

Wherer I am at, in Calvert County, we expect to take the brunt of the storm....Not sure of how much, but it sounds NASTY.....Anywhere from 16-24+ inches....Luckly I have tomorrow off. Putting gas in the truck, and fill the Kerosene jug. Then batten down the hatches....We are planning on coming up for the Sportsman Show....Never thought that I'd wish for a snowblower....All I kept hearing was...It don't snow like that here......Will post pics if I get the chance......Ever pray for rain??????

HAHA, True And i am used to it here. It has snowed almost every day here since the OW, But unless it just going to be me and you out there. I beleive most will stay away cause of the snow

Hey Gil down here it's a 100% chance of snow tomorrow. The plows have been through my street about 3 times and you can't tell. So it looks like next weekend for me. Heck we have already shoveled part of the deck, steps and a chunk of the back yard2 or 3 times so the dogs can go out.

Keep it as a late model and we can race next weekend

Oh i am using my the gas blower to blow away the snow but the front door on the house every time i open it has atleast 2 feet stacked against it. You can have the heavy stuff! I just got back for the gas station. Since the wind is so bad I thought it was worth the trip for some kero. just in case the electric goes out.

I certainly don't see anyone showing up.
I am leaving to try and plow the parking lot with my Mickey Mouse plow
I am not sure I will be able to get there.
My road is 12" deep
The township hasn't plowed yet
If I am able to get there - it will take me 5 hours to get the parking lot cleared, if I am even able to do it.
I certainly don't think it worth anyone risking there life to come and play today.
So that is the plan at this point.

this is what we had last night it was cleared away all night they said 24-30" i think we have passed that stage but it is hard to tell because we have had massive drifting. The TurnPike is almost shut down right here where we are located so even if i got that big truck that chirs is talking about i couldnt get there in 2 hours LOL.

the second pic is the morning pic that is a 36 inch railing on the deck that is 12" high off the ground and 6 below the sliding door!

Went out about 9 or 10 this morning to make a place for the dogs and it was ABOVE my knees. It's still comming down and has covered the deck to about 4 or 6 inches from bare wood. Folks snow doesn't suck ...................IT REALLY FRELLIN SUCKS. :mad:

it finally quit snowing around 5pm yesterday.:D...We lost power for 3 hrs. Thankfully we have a kerosene heater. Got the power backin time to watch the ARCA race. But what ever station that was going to show the Bud Shootout, decided to run storm reports all friggin' day. We have a mess here. Tree branches into power lines, county and state plows getting stuck. From what i here on the scanner, quite afew fire trucks and police cars got stuck, and are still buried. Got a 60' driveway to shovel, probably take the whole day. Got a real nice 5' bank and the end of the driveway, where the grader came through. If we can get that out of the way, we can get out. No word on if my wife or I work tomorrow.....And we might be getting another storm Tuesday or Wed..I am buying a tractor and a snowblower.....Hope that they shut us down so we can get cleaned up around us better. The downside to that is, according to the contract, if they shut the Base down, we don't get paid...:mad:

A guy in the neighboorhood with a 4x4 plow knocked down alot of the snow for us.:p..We shoveled 2/3 of it before they came along. The roads are just passable as of now. Rt.4 is a mess in some places. There is a state of emergency, and the plow trucks are still trying to get pulled out, and trying to clean up the mess...Not too sure if I am working tomorrow. The snow was light and fluffy on top, and then crusty and ice underneath...Fun shoveling. I am stiff in places I forgot I had. :eek: Ought to be a fun drive in the am....I need a :beer: and a nap.....

Here it was start at about 9 am with snow removal........finished about 3 pm. That was both myself and the wife working at it. Didn't bother to measure BUT the snow was almost to the top of my cars front fender. Keep in ind those that don't know i drive and outback to give you and idea of the depth of snow we got.

Now do I need to say it ????? Well ok I will .....What does snow and a vacume cleaner have in common????? They both S***
