Information on the Mini Late Model 500 lap team endurance race has now been posted.
You can view the page at: http://www.allensrccars.com/MLM500/
By a rough estimate based on interest already expressed in this race we should have at least 7 - 10 teams in each Sportsman and Expert class and 4 - 6 Juniors for their 100 lapper.
This is really shaping up to be a lot of fun.
Have any questions just ask here.

Scoring program allows up to 20 at a time. LOL
I was thinking we would go up to 10 - 12, maybe slightly higher. I'd like to see at least 6 - 7 cars in the race to make it interesting. I'm counting at least 7 or 8 teams already for the Expert class and at least 6 - 7 in Sportsman I think. So I think we'll have some good fields in both which will make it fun.
We've even had a good turnout of Juniors (kids) so far this year so they'll have a good race too.

From talking to a few guys the last week or so and after reading here, the Expert class should get at least 8 - 10 teams and the Sportsman around 6 - 8.
Although I haven't heard any confirmed "formed" teams yet in sportsman... only guys wanting to do it. This class keeps growing every week too.
So far I think we have the following confirmed:
Sportsman
1. Veith / Veith
Drivers looking for teammates (sportsman):
1. Matt Beckham
Expert
1. Wilkinson / Quartermouse
2. Brown / Mulvaney
3. Canham / Shearburn
4. Brannon / Fromme
5. Kelm / Fayant
6. Sagle / McGuire
7. Schmidt / Schmidt ?????
I will put out a sheet this Sunday for people to "pre" register their team to get a head count.
If you aren't listed but want to/plan to run let me know and I'll add you to the list.

You can use one car, or if both drivers have a car they can each use their own. I'll rewrite that rule so its more clear.
500 laps might be a little hard on the motor, especially if its a brushed motor, but not any harder on the car than two race days would be.

Chris, How many teams does it look like you have for each class so far?
As of now it looks like there is for sure 6 teams in Sportsman and 8 teams in Expert. There are at least 1 - 2 teams in Expert that are still up in the air and probably 2 - 3 teams still up in the air in Sportsman. We should see at least 7 - 8 teams in Sportsman and maybe as many as 10 - 11 in Expert by race time.
Looks like we will have some stuff to give away as well. Should be a lot of fun.
For those wanting to run but are looking for a partner/ride please let me know and I can add you to the list. Also specify if you have a car already or not.
Looking for Ride/Teammate (Sportsman)

2. Jeremy Dunham (no car) ?????

Jim, you should talk to Gary Brannon next week and see if he needs a teammate. Sounds like he isn't sure if Matt still wants to run or not. Or, you should talk to Chris and Ken Fuiten. Alex can team with Ken in Sportsman and you can team with Chris in Expert.

Team Southpaw (B) ended well with Joe Taft being smooooooth after I juked it during the first leg. What a Blast! My first Southpaw Partner, Tommy Sagle, couldn't make it, so I showed up looking for a ride and Joe did the same. We slapped some Batts together and made a run for it. Thanks goes out to Team Southern Boyz for not putting in your transponder on the second leg. A BIG thanks to Mark Daniels for running the show and keeping things going smoothly. I don't think anyone realizes all the little things that were involved in running the scoring for these races and he did an awesome job with it. We set a schedule and he kept it to the second. Also thanks to Doug Canham for the awards and to Barb and Allen for good food and a nice track to race on.
Congrats to Justin Fernandez and Kace Schuh on their win in Sportsman. That was a fun race to watch and you guys hung in there all race and it paid off. Thanks also to Mouse and Cliff for completely boning the halfway break. LOL You had a big enough lead that would have been tough to cut in to.
Especially thanks to all 31 drivers who came out to race for this event. Was a lot of fun and it sounds like everyone else enjoyed it as well. I'm pretty sure we will try and do another one in April after this next 8 week point series.

I don't think so. Jim "Flashbulb" McGuire left his camera at home :o so the only pics I think we got were of the winners with their awards.

This will cap off our indoor season which has been one of the best so far. I will get the details posted on the website after we get them hashed out (hopefully) this weekend.
