need some ideas on dying dynatech cage or boiling befor ass

I always used to dye my CW cage w/liquid Rit dye. mix it with water and put in a foil pan on stove, or use an elec skillet. Get it good and hot and simmer the parts in it until they are as dark as wanted, and keep stirring so nothing melts.

Let the parts cool in the dye naturally if you cool them with cold water it will case harden them . The outside will be harder but more brittle. If you let them cool down gradually they will be the same hardness all the way through. They will be more flexible and able to handle a hard hit better .
