And should the guys who are pitting in a trailor wait to sign up, as to leave room for the inside people? Or are we throwing a gazelle into a pack of hienas & watching! :ha:

on the link chris posted there is a seperate link for trailers and inside. which wont let it fill up as fast and that allows for 300 racers 150 inside and 150 outside if i heard right. which is more bodys than were at the open wheel

What will be the qualifying format for the Freeze?

Traditional fastest 6 times over all rounds make A, next 6 B, etc...

or

USOWC points system (eliminating rocket round)...

I'm OK with either, I'm just curious which it will be.

Thanks,
Andy

Sorry Didn't post the qualifying format on here - just on rcsignup.

After many discussions with people on what to do, it was determined that leaving the qualifying format like it has always been for this race was the overwealming majority.
So Rocket Round here we come!

I don't expect this race to fill up like the openwheel - my guess is you can sign up anytime over the next few weeks. But I have been wrong before.

Rocket Rounds are awesome!!!!! It builds excitement into the show!

I mean, cmon....Isn't it awesome to hear the announcer after a run yell, 51 4.01 AND NEW TQ FOR TOOODD PUTNAAAM!!!!!

It is instant gratification! If I wanted suspense and to read a spreadsheet to figure it out, I would race Pinewood Derby cars or play World of Warcraft (nick d would be my character of course) in my parents basement.

Please make sure you are signing up on rcsignup in the correct location
There are 2 places to sign up in rcsignup.com
clearly labeled as indoor entry only and trailer entry only.
In other words once we are full and you tell me you signed up early and should have a place inside and I look and see you signed up in trailer only.
I can't exactly kick someone out to let you in, so now is the time to double check rcsignup to make sure you are entered in the correct place.
Also if you have not spoke with me or entered on rcsignup.com and can see your name on the rcsignup list, it is a safe bet to assume you have not entered.
Thanks
Chris

ps. I will get the sheet posted mon or tue - but right now there are only about 20 indoor pit spots left and about 300 entries.

Hey Chris, I know that Kevin Scheibe wanted an indoor spot and he signed up for trailer pit only, i told him to email you or post something on here and i did not see anything so i thought i would let you know just incase.

bumps and jumps rc

The easiest thing to do is to have him go and sign up again under indoor spots.
Every time someone adds a class to rcsignup I download a new sheet, and to keep making changes for someone entered in the wrong area is easy - to change 10 people every time is more difficult, and easier for me to make a mistake. He doesn't have to pay just have him register in the correct area.
Thanks Chris

I personally think that the 13.5 classes are a chance for manufacturers to showcase their products. I think over the years winning the stock class has been something that was viewed as a manufacturers accomplishment, don't get me wrong you still need a driver but I don't think I will get much argument in saying that some of the stock drivers have been the best of the best over the years. While I understand the concept of the openwheel limiting the drivers that can enter the so called slower classes, I don't think that it is my place to limit drivers for the freeze - in fact I feel the opposite, for the freeze has it's bragging rights that manufacturers can play off and promote their product. So I say good luck to all manufacturers and there driver representatives, because I for one feel that it is a distinguished honor to win a 13.5 race at the freeze or any other large race for that matter, no matter who is holding the wheel.

I totally agree w/Chris on this issue. WOW, did I really say that ! LOL ! Also, w/Wade "the more the merrier". For most of my years in this hobby, I have run the stock classes & proud to say I have run w/some of the best drivers in the country, Cutman, Putnam,Polimeda,Cooper,Deangelis,Fie & Flurer, just to name a few.I could go on & on !

As for the 13.5 class of today, im not sure w/the technology, that you can call it a "Stock" class since it really compares to the 19turn of old, which was concidered a "Mod" class back in the day ! Nonetheless, I would love nothing more than to compete w/any of the above mentioned racers anytime !

It's drivers like those that make you step-up your program, pull the batteries tight & get up on the wheel ! Many of those racers have taught me alot over the years, that has in turn, let me help others & I salute & welcome them to compete w/us in the 13.5 class . They have represented or hobby well !

GO FAST TURN LEFT ! Keith S.

When I signed up for all those classes, I never intended to run them all. I just wanted to insure the cars were entered for driver(s) to be named at a later date.

We will have to see who drives what, but I can assure you that I won't be competing/driving in 6 classes, but my cars will be...

I have a nitro rustler and was wondering what i need to do to change it, cause i assume i can't race the engine that came with it. If someone can let me know that would be great.
