13.5 EDM's

Ok guys, here we go ! A few people throughout the day yesterday, came to me expressing interest in racing 13.5 EDM's. To my knowledge here are the probable entries for this coming Saturday.

Glenn Norton
Gil Palimino
Kayo Clark
Lauden Siegfried
Phil Davis
Jeff Keller
Keith Steinle

I know Guy Intelisano has one also, & Evan Woods father has said about trying one. The more the merrier. Now I know Phil Davis has said if he gets his car back together he will run & w/Kayo it depends on work, but looks like there is enough interest to bring the EDM back.

Hope to see everyone come out & have some openwheel fun ! I am currently Working on a setup sheet from my Putnam car to try & help people get a base starting point. If anyone needs further assistence just P.M. me.

I also, have 2 extra EDM bodies that im sure could be fitted to anyones car thats interested in running. Plus, im sure Nick Deangelis would be more than happy to make one for you !

I'll bring the car ready for edm. But I'll bring the LM body just in case nobody shows up. I'm sure Curt Seiber will run 13.5 edm too. I might bring the sprint too.

You know what I offered to help many times and never taken up on it! And its pretty lame to blame your customers for something that should be part of the race day staff like you just did. When you have guys running non dodc motors in races and nothing is checked then your not running DODC rules end of story so either we are running DODC rules or its open one or the other!

Don't know the whole story, but from what I understand, w/out naming names, someone in the 13.5 LM class last week was running a NON DODC motor. It was brought to Chris's attention & basically Chris said he would talk to the driver about it. Now, I don't know what the outcome of that conversation was, but reguardless, there should be tech throughout the day to make sure things are on the up & up ! Bumps is a DODC track if im not mistaken, & if someone isn't running what they should be, then the run should be DQ'ed & or sat out for the rest of the day !

We "ALL" put alot of money, time, & effort into our racing & the whole purpose of the 13.5 DODC class was to try & keep cost down & let racers race on a more level playing field. I think what Lauden is trying to say is, lets keep things on a level playing field & I for one agree. 13.5 is usually the biggest weekly car count & I for one don't want to see people not show up for lack of rules being enforced.

If it is DODC racing then use the right motors. It's only $10 more for the 13.5 DODC motor. If you can't afford the right motor maybe you can't afford to go racing. Money is not the problem here it's the rules, period.

Sorry I missed this post - Laudan I do check stuff that is fast and might be illegal.
It also requires people coming to me and helping me, so thank you for that. This is after all a business and each person I add to the employee list only add's more overhead - so yes I could add a person to do that each and every week, but in my opinion it is not justified.
I did have a discussion with the person and he said he didn't have another motor, he said he wouldn't run it for the rest of the day - I told him he could finish the day, which in retrospect was a mistake on my part - Sorry, it won't happen again.

Well I see this thread went OFF TOPIC, just like most of them do ! I think the proper people are aware of the situation @ hand & will take care of it in one way or another. Hope to see a stellar field of 13.5 EDM's this Saturday :thumbsup: !

Working on getting one together right now......this is why I got a 13.5 car,I love the EDM's.Work looks like they can live without me this weekend right now...but it's early.

If im not mistaken, last year if you didn't @ least have your cars on the tech table after the race, you were docked a lap from your fastest qualifier or your best run was DQ'ed. I do however remember the cars were teched mostly every weekend ! Im sure Chris or Marc can correct me if im wrong.

Anyway, this thread was started to see how many 13.5 EDM 's we can get to run & I want to thank everyone that replied on this thread & also PM'ed me about setup, bodies, ect !
Looks like this weekend there should be a good field. Hopefully we can keep it going throughout the remainder of the season & beyond.

I, for one , would like to see the EDM's run @ The Mill & Staubs. I believe there are enough people racing 13.5 @ this point for LM & EDM classes to have enough in each class w/out taking from one another !

Track has been a little bumpy the last cpl weeks, but nothing to worry about. It has also been getting a black groove by the 2nd heat & by the mains its pretty bitey !

I won't be running EDM, but I am going to race, after I get my speed control straightened out. I'll be coming out of So. Md. about 6am......Want to be there early.....5 years is a long time.....
