1-16-09 Figure 8 Slash Race

You read it right
In discussions with some people I have concluded that the slash class never took off this year, and to be honest I am disappointed, only because there simply is not a good way to start racing DO - try to sell someone a $800 package and tell them they need to grove tires on top of everything else.
So my solution make so fun looking everyone will want to do it - so next Sat the 16th I have decided to run slash figure 8.
No crossover jump - just learn to use brakes :D
I currently have 4 people for sure coming - I am one of them with the rental (can't pass this up!)
I will only charge $10 entry for this class - let's see what happens!

WOW!!.......... This sounds totally Insane!!...... What's the prise??........ I could go for another pie!!!.......... I wasn't planning on coming next week (because I'm going tomorrow)........ but Wayne and I both bought Slashs (we're 100% STOCK!!) and I'd love to do something stupid like this, if this doesn't put a smile on you face you must be dead!!..................... Speaking of dead, I have some bad news too, Wayne's Dad died the other day, services are Monday...... so I'll HAVE to drag him out of the house next week to cheer him up!!

The figure 8 was fun to watch....................watching the drivers on the stand was even more fun I have never seen so many drivers laugh SO HARD while on the stand having accidents on the track. I hope to see it again...............as a spectator

what was really cool about the slash race was everyone had fun with it, nobody on the stand had a bad time even if they did break out of the race...everyone was laughing about it.

how freaking cool was it that the tyree family came up to hang out with us?! i think mom may have been a little board but it was so awesome to have them make the trip north to spend the day with us, thank you guys for making our day that much better.

Absolutly Brock, it was great to see the whole family come & spend the day w/us. I don't think mom was to board, I was standing next to her a couple times watching Billy race & it seemed like she was really enjoying her visit.

I have raced w/Billy alot in the Stock Sprint class over the years & he's a good racer & him & his dad are always a pleasure to be around ! Hope to see them back for the Freeze :thumbsup:
