I will be in town for the Chili Bowl itself. I do have a Custom Works Outlaw with a 10.5 in it. I am checking with my buddies and if I have room to bring it I will do so. I know I will have my butt handed to me... but afterall I am wanting to have fun and enjoy the experience! I do have a few questions.
On the entries.... will it be possible to enter that week (by Wednesday even)? What is the absolute cut-off for this?
Also...... concerning tires. I am reading late models will have a spec tire to run. Making sure sprints can run what they bring, correct? Any ideas on what tires to bring (brand names.... insert stiffness, etc)? I have a set of Bow Ties... set of Hole Shots and some Losi tires.... as well as the Custom Works tires that came with the Outlaw.
One final thing.... where can I find all the rules for the event?
Any help with these questions would be much appreciated! I just started racing this year and do decent on local level... won some races..... but mainly having fun. A race of this magnitude was suggested by my Cincinnati buddies to go check out and compete. A good dose of humble pie never hurt anyone!

About the rules, all 10th scale sprints will be using the DODC rules for loose dirt. There is a link to those rules at the top of this page. Up at the very top where you clicked on forums to get to this area. forums..gallery..advertising..rules..tracks..links ..right across the top there.
You'll be allowed to run up to a 7x7 wing and you will need to have 2.2 buggy wheels and tires. The custom works tires that came with the car will not be allowed. Like you said in your post, bowties, holeshots, inside jobs will be what you want. Any brand of 2.2 rubber, pinned, buggy tire will be allowed.
As far as I know there will not be any cut off. We have 3 days to run this event and I'm sure we will have plenty of time to get it in, regardless of car count. As far as getting there in time to race, I'm sure they will allow late entries as they have in the past. We had several people get there late last year and were allowed to enter.

To answer your question about entry.
We are asking that everyone that is going to make the show be signed up and paid by 2 hours prior of the event starting at about 11am Wed 13th. If you know that you wont be able to make it there by then, To please send in all of your info on a entry form and pre pay if all possible on paypal to theshow21@att.net. We will never turn anyone away. But it just cause's alot of headaches on late entry's. By us having all of your info before the event starts, helps not have as many headaches. We can have you in the system already to go when you get here.
We hope you are able to make the show

Thanks for all the info guys.
I am still working on details for racing.... looking unlikely at the moment unfortunately. My big problem is lack of a DODC compliant battery. Money is tight so buying one is not an option for me. I will continue to do some checking.....
Regardless I will be there to watch. Still crossing my fingers on racing....
One quick question..... I do have a 3200 mAh lipo that is 20C. I am assuming it is legal to use (does not exceed max ratings). Am I correct in this thought?
EDIT: The 2 batteries I have to race with are a Yeah racing 3200mAh 20C and a ThunderPower 3800mAh 45C battery. Thats it.

We are NOT enforcing the DODC Battery and Motor stamps. The only class that we are running that would have had to have a stamped battery or motor is 13.5 LM. This class is be ran under the Mod 13.5 points in DODC.
Your batteries are legal. Any 13.5 motors can be ran

if you are running sprint the motor is open and so are batts. so there shouldnt be a problem . the 13.5 is only for 1/10 lm

Thanks again guys! I am 60/40 going to be able to do this. I am riding out with folks so my big issue at the moment is transportation to the track and what to do with the stuff at the end of the night. If I can get these issues resolved I am good to go. If I can pre-pay an entry I will do so but until I am 100% sure on everything I may have to wait till Wed Morning.
One question that may not be answered till we see the track. How many tires should I plan to have to run?

I will compete. I will pay my entry on Tuesday. Who should I go see?
I believe I have a ride. A person on here has volunteered to pick me up from my hotel. I am a GO!
Looking forward to meeting new people there! Any help for a rookie is appreciated!!

Just go to the Mustang Arena to the north of the expo center and look for either Scott Butts or Rodger Moore and I am sure they will be pleased to help you out. Bring your stuff for sure as tues is practice all day. Glad you can make it! Wish I culd be there Tues but I'll be there bright and early Wed.
