FDOS RACE 1 2010 @ SS Raceway Tampa, FL 1/17

1/17/10 FDOS returns to the high banks of SS Raceway for race 1 of 2010.

SS will have full concessions and beverages available.

SS HOBBY SHOP open all 3 days of racing

Please read up on the class rules as well as the general rules, some of rules have changed.

mandatory personals at all FDOS races.

The Schedule:

1/15 FRIDAY
5:00 pm - gates open
7:30 pm - club race

1/16 SATURDAY
11:00 - pre-tech for sunday open
2:00 pm - club race - great for practice

1/17 SUNDAY
7:00 - am gates open
7:30 - sign up opens
8:00 - track opens for practice
9:30 - practice ends/registration ends
9:45 - driver's meeting
10:00 - green flag

As usual cars must go through technical inspection at the beginning of the day and after each qualifier.
So don't hesitate to hop in the tech inspection line with your ride ready to practice that morning.
AND remember it's ultimately your responsibility to follow the rules,
just because something may get overlooked one time in tech does not make it legal.

Please pre-register, it really helps get the races started on time.

Nitro Truck/EDM - truck based/can only run if not running any classes below

Mod Electric 2wd Late Model - dirt oval specific car based/ 2cell lipo
Nitro 2wd Late Model - dirt oval specific car based/ .12 nitro motors
Nitro Sprint - dirt oval specific car based/ .12 nitro motors

1/8 scale classes:
1/8 Late Model - 1/8 buggy based, up to .28 motors
1/8 Sprint - 1/8 buggy based, up to .28 motors under $225 new, street price

Guys,
Sorry I didnt post anything earlier. I took Monday off and did not come in until after 12:00 noon today.
What can I say 93 racers ...It was a great program, everyone did their part, and everything worked out despite the rain!!
However, I dont mind telling you when the rain came back after driving 100 laps around the track in a golf cart I was ready to run that thing in the center and leave it there!!
It turned out to be a great day.
Got to thank Karen for running a tight ship.
Richard for sticking to his guns.
Larry for keeping the guns loaded!
Jimmy for putting up with me with no sleep,
and making sure the track crew Kenny, Michael and Pat were on top of everything! (Its great to have you back)
Shelby and her side kicks on the grill.
Charlie for getting down in the mud to make sure the drain was draining the water all night long.
