View Full Version : Prelude to the Bowl

SCOTTY 21B
December 28th, 2009, 1:43 AM
The first annual Prelude to the Bowl at the Barn Speedway in Catoosa, Oklahoma on Saturday, January 2nd. Races start at 3:00 pm. Same classes as the Chili Bowl Jr. Entry fee is $10 per class. No payback, no trophies. This is just a fun race. Bring your own table & chair. On site concessions, plenty of electric. We will have house transponders. Well heated pit area. Hope to see everyone there.

How about the Kansas City Crew? Got the guts?
How about the Witchita Wizard? Can he conjure up any apprentices?
How about King Butler? Can he put on his big boy pants?
(Would those be underoos? asks Kris)
How about Looney McCluney? Bring the beer. Enough said.
How about the Fort Smith hitmen? Ready for a mission?
How about the Oklahoma City boys? Are you scared?
How about you Joplin nuts? Feeling squirrelly?
How about Mr. Beckham? Can he handle a smaller track?
Come on up & battle the T-Town Mafia, led by Big Boss Biggety Butts. (for all you alumni of McCluney's track) We're waiting for you.

The KC Crew will be stroking our car owners so funding is not restricted when it counts. Besides The Road Runner put the SMACK DOWN on Big Scott Butts in Joplin in 13.5 LM...Enough Said.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

My lack of extra funds and rescheduled Christmas with the folks puts us outta this one. BTW- Skip's has offered us a test and tune session on the 10th for CBJ shakedowns. Pm me for details or check out heartland.

Oklahoma City Boys scared????? I think not!!! Drove through 14" of snow and ice ( like an idiot ) last Saturday to get there! Scared is for racers elsewhere!!! Like some of your locals who wouldn't drive 3 miles to get there. Were they afraid of getting their purses wet? ;-)

Hope to make it back up and bring some others with... Take care everyone.

PS - Thanks to Dale and Brent for the push start out of the parking lot...if it wasn't for them i'd still be setting there! lol

This OKC boy will hopefully have his cars ready for the CBJ. A few of us might make an appearance before the CBJ to run some laps, but not 100% sure.

I guess I'll be among the purse carryin' KC boys!!!!! Before I can shake down my car for the CBJ I have to PREP it - hopefullly beginning this weekend!!!!!!

Memo to Doug G: Watch your emails!!!!!! :)

BUT, the good news is all I need to do is a FULL PREP and mount a new body!!!!!! I can normally knock that kinda' thing out in 3 weeks or so!!!!!!!!!!!

AND, my A Main order evidently isn't going to be here 'til Monday..... :(

BUT, I think I can get everything prepped and ready for the body by then; all I need the A Main stuff for is some Deans plugs and I bet I can get those at Fastlane!!!!

The best way if you are on the Creek Turnpike would be to exit on 31st street and head East to 257th and turn North. Take 257th to 21st Street and turn East. Take 21st to 267th and turn North again. There will be a house on the East side of the street with a white fence around it. The Barn sits back behind the house.
