HANG OVER 100 Jan. 1st

New Years day doesn't have to be boring this year. Come out to the 1st Ever Hang over 100 at S&H Speedway in Watervliet New York. Doors open at 10am and racing will start at 1:00pm sharp! We will have two rounds of heat races and 100 lap features in every division. Plenty of pit space, electric etc...Come enjoy the tight high bank racing at S&H speedway. We also have a fully stocked hobbyshop. Any questions call David Peek (518)365-1728 for further details.

I decided to open up the rules for this race, it's going to be a bunch of fun! The best finishing 100% DODC legal car in every "A" main will recieve a free entry fee for any regular show at S&H speedway. Handling makes the difference at S&H.....Here are the rules:

Small Block= Any 17.5 Brushless motor and any 5000mah max Lipo battery. All other specs need to be DODC legal, body, chassis etc....

Big Block= Any 13.5 Brushless motor and any 5000mah Lipo battery. All other specs need to be DODC legal, body, chassis etc....

Sprintcar= Open, any motor battery combination you want. All other specs need to be DODC legal, body, Chassis etc.... (front wings allowed)

Late Model= Any 13.5 Brushless motor and any 5000mah max lipo battery. All other specs need to be DODC legal, body, chassis etc...

So... if this is a big race - lets see. the Rumors I've heard - that must be verified by Peek:

* You need to get there to reserve your pit space on tuesday...
* Practice starts wednesday where the track will be nothing like it will be on Friday,
Sleeping bags will be allowed as there is no space for pit trailers except for Price chopper parking lot. No showers so you need to roll in the show to get clean.
* Do not wash tires in the sink or toilet bowl.
* Thursday will be simulation heats without practice time...
* Dee works late, skips new year - but gives out hugs at 12:00 midnight
* If you want to skip new year and miss Dick Clark, there will be a short test and tune after the ball drops. Track will have old tamiya blackfoot and Legend cars scattered so you can't hurt the goove during test and tune.
* Door opens on friday. Breathalizer tests before you take the controls in your hand.
* Marshals given fishing poles with magnets and servo tape so they don't have to cross the track.
* Soaking tires in orange juice is srictly prohibited - as we don't want ants
* Peek collects entry fees to subsidize his habits... All payments must be US Dollars - none of that funny looking canadian money.
* Racers in the show do 100 laps if you don't pass out from dizzyness going around and around this little track.
* Winners also get pictures on Hobby talk and Dirt oval threads.

No - no - no. Don't put him in my heat. Too much pressure. Peek Came off the stand shaking like a leaf after the open wheel main. Heard him say "Wow - that was close. I couldn't go home and tell my kids that I got beat by a 12 year old".

Those sound like fighting words...lol I have recieved some PM's about base setups for S&H....here goes! EDM 35wt shock oil all around, 4lbs coils front, 10-12lbs in the rear, 0 degree rear toe both sides, silver compound tires rc4less or bsr, 1/2 to 3/4 ride height, if you like a loose car run some rake, tire size anything from 2.50-2.68's....17.5 roll out around 175-190 and 13.5 1.50-175.....Sprintcar setup is almost the same, I would use a 5-7lbs front coil......LMK if you guys need anything else! You get the prize John...ding, ding! Now that the Tekin and Mamba are the hot tickets I believe most guys are running 100-150 roll outs, maybe even lower??

I also agree w/Gil. Couldn't think of a better way to spend the New Year than racing w/good people. Everyone made us feel welcome & I look forward to coming up again & racing w/some of the best EDM racers in the hobby. I will definatly have the setup needed to be competitive next time though :D. Hope to see some of you @ the "DUEL".
