Are there any DODC tracks running trucks on oval. If so what rules are being used. Any help would be appreciated.

Truck rules at DODC participating tracks are left to the individual tracks. No national rules for trucks at this time...and not likely any time soon....if ever.

Most guys put on truck tires and a truck body on a car chassis and call it a truck so maybe thats why they dont add that class since it would be to similar and I dont think they race trucks on real dirt ovals. also they say its hard to fit any new classes in a big race. Or there would be 1/18 oval!! LOLWhy not.. Whats wrong with racing trucks?

Yeah the PA Tour is the best races to attend for nitro trucks. There's a good mix of RC10GT based chassis as well as some conversions w/ truck length arms. As for weekly truck racing in PA or DODC tracks IDK. Newville use to run them but they are gone. Maybe BumpsnJumps? And Staubs?
hey cobra22431, they run Dirt TRUCKS up here in NY on Full Scale Dirt ovals. ;)

Bumps and jumps, Staubs, and Willow mill's dirt track run Nitro trucks weekly. And get good counts of them using PA Nitro tour rules.

Thanks for letting me know, do any of the truck oval races make it on speed ch? I use to run truck oval nitro at the usowc and local track and once in a while mod electric local. At one point I had one of tony stewarts trucks back in the stock motor days also.Yeah the PA Tour is the best races to attend for nitro trucks. They run at a few different tracks from what I've seen. But nothing that gets to the televised level. I think they have gotten on the local speed report but that's about it. The class is like a superstock class that just runs a truck body.
yeah nitro truck use to be a lot more popular at the regional and nat'l level but with so many new platforms and classes coming into dirt oval the trucks have been put to the back-burner. (Which is unfortunate since so many people get into the hobby in a truck/buggy platform which in turn means if a truck class was locally supported it would be a cheap, entry level class for newbies).
I know up here in the Southern Tier Trucks are the heart of a few of our tracks. We see 13-15 Nitro Truck/EDM's each race and there are a few dozen guys running them steadily. Electric Truck/EDM is also pulling a lot of support.

this might be a little off topic but the truck that run on full size tracks are actually Street Stocks, take the monte carlo body off and replace it with a truck body, there is a tour that is called the Regional Pro Truck Tour, if i am right i beleive that they started at Black Rock Speedway back in 2000. great class to watch. look up the tour and go check out one of the races you wont be disappointed.

Personally, I would Love to see DODC rules set for the trucks, but I don't see it happening for a long time. For now the Best rules I have seen are the rules used by the PA Nitro Tour.
