Question about the max width rule for latemodels:
"Maximum width: 10.000” (foam tires), 10.250" (rubber tires)"
Is this trackwidth or overall width from outside of tires?

Think of your car having to roll through a 10" wide box.

As Todd said it would have to roll through a 10" or 10-1/8" box respectively. This dimension is not applied to the bodies however which in some cases may be slightly larger than that. If the car would roll through the box without the body on it is legal. The fact that the bodies themselves are on the approved body list makes them legal.
