Open comp camarow body spoiler measuring, please clarify

Since the open CW comp camaro body does not have a flat rear deck (the sides are higher) where do you measure the 2.75 inch width of spoiler from? highest point of rear deck or lowest?? I like to fasten the spoiler to the deck along the length at bottom and need to know how this is measured before I can finish the spoiler. Last years body I had was a totally flat deck but the camaro is not, sorry for the typo in the title LOL

usually they were measured from the base of the molded spoiler. we have had better luck and a cleaner look by mounting the spoiler to the back of the body rather than the deck. by the back i mean the back of the molded spoiler above the rear cut-out area. due to the nature of the molded part you can cut the back out even w/ the convergant plane of the deck and still have plenty of material for mounting the spoiler and it is easier to get a variety of angles IMO
