SMC 3200 28C 2S lipo spec battery. Will this battery change for next year 2010 or will it be the same for another year. I know I read some where here on DODC current spec lipo will be used minimum 2 years and thats up in 2010. So will it be upgraded to better ratings or stay the same?????

I read in another post by one of the officials that said as long as this battery was available it would be used, even into 2012 so.....

The plan is to use the same battery as long as they are available. We expect that to be at least 2 years but it may be less or hopefully more. Things like these change like the wind but the manufacturer has develped this as a spec battery with the intention of it remaining unchanged for as long as possible.

Thanks for the input Rob, but I think w/the technology in batteries changing as rapidly as it is, do you really think the mfg's will be able to keep producing this type of battery? Just asking, not trying to start anything. Personally, id like to see them stay the same for as long as can be !

As I stated above, no way to know for sure. I know they have pledged to try and are the only ones who have that intention so we will see.
