We've gone away from the grey stuff and have laid down some red stuff.

Now you guys have a racetrack. You had a good one before but I think you guys will find that the track will work in better and stay more consistant for you as far as maintenance.

We had some 8th scale racing but its not a regular class anymore. We are trying to get everyone together the first weekend of each month so those with them could race them.

Ross we have 1/10th sprints from time to time. Electric and Nitro. There is a bit of a resurgence in the classes but its not a regular weekly class right now. If you want weekly racing close to home, and don't already know about it.. check out the Palm Beach County thread on the rctech forum. http://www.rctech.net/forum/florida-racing-54/
We have also dragged some of the grey clay on top of the red stuff as it hasn't turned out to be conducive to any sort of racing. (you can still see the red stuff) The red stuff is great if you want to line a pond with it or burn up tires but just doesn't work indoors with foams no matter what we've tried. if you've been here you know we have the equipment and gumption to try just about everything. its been tried! atleast now we're back to some sort of consistency in regards to track conditions throughout the round.
the outdoor off-road club has had some luck with it or so they say.

How's it working out with the mixed clays, far as wear and grip? Are the 2wd LM's running weekly? Some of us Tampa guys got 2wd's now so maybe we can organize a trip up to get some running in on your track at some point before fdos!

Luke so far the track has been fast. down to 5.1s for 2wd nitro lm. You can see the results from the last 2 weeks on our site. because the grey stuff has only been dragged over it isn't thick and sometimes it will kick up some marbles in the turns. I haven't measured for wear yet.
