This Weds lets race Short Courses if you got em'

This is going to probably the last time I can race on Weds for a couple weeks, so let's bring out the Short Course trucks if you got em'. You punks get to ruin my SC10's new paint job! A couple of you guys got ahold of me last week and asked when I'd be bringing mine so I figured I'd give everyone a heads up. Dig out that Slash or SC10.

Doug, me bumping and banging your purdy new body is going to have to wait a while, have to work tomorrow night, and I'm leaving for a trip Sunday morning.

But these things are fun to race on the oval, I had my Slash out on Wednesday and ran a few laps.

I'd love to see what happens in terms of classes with these short course trucks on the oval, as well as when we head off-road in a few months.

I think it's because it's a new, different kinda cool vehicle to race than what has been available in the past. The SCs aren't for everyone, kinda like rock crawling does nothing for me. I don't have the attention span for crawling, wait what was the question?

Well at least in my case the Slash is what got me back into the hobby after 6 years of being out. I appreciate the "scaleness" of the trucks look. I've always had a slight hard on for desert trucks and since I'll never get to carve up the Baja in a real trophy truck...this is the closest I'll get. They are a ton of fun to race. Now that 4 manufacturers are involved (Trx Slash, AE SC10, Losi Strike, HPI Blitz), alot of us are looking forward to slugging it out & trading paint all offroad season.

Another thing that brings alot of people to the Sc class is that you can take it right out the box and race it at the track, The people i have talked to about the Sc love them for that reason and that its been something they always wanted to see if it could be pulled off in a rc truck,

I'll more then likely be out there on Wed, just bought a 17.5 Novak system and a 2s LiPo for my Slash, and I want to try it out a bit.

I'll probably bring out the Mini Late too, spur gear went bye-bye out at Maryville and a replacement is coming tomorrow.

Nice Chris, you'll enjoy having brushless. They are fast yet controllable with a 17.5. Unfortunately I won't be at Smac anymore this year for oval racing. All my stuff is now ready for offroad season (my sc10 is awaiting parts still from Smac last week...you need CVD's in those things). I can't wait to start duking it out offroad style as Smac again.

For you guys I've become friends with that won't be racing offroad, it was a good season and I'm glad I got to meet alot of new racers! Next year I'll have a sprinter to run.

Alright guys...only got a few more wednesday nights of oval...lets try to get a few more short course trucks this week..we have been having a blast running these things on the oval....Anyone who has an offroad vehicle and itching to race it bring it on out:thumbsup:
