You can follow this thread here: http://www.dirtoval.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40030&page=7 for information on the series.
The last few times I talked to Allen about the race he had said that the plan was to try and start around 5 instead of the usual 6. I'll try and get Allen to confirm with the other track owners on the start time and have someone post it on that thread asap.

Have the nailed down a start time yet? Are they running 1/8th scale or just the series classes?
Thank you

It was my first time there and i think its a nice place, nice track, nice hobby shop, they went right thru the races so it wasnt going to be all night.I would like to go back there again.
Me and my wife had a good time even though we had to leave early due to my gtb screwing up.Other than that i think i had the car hooked up good.
What time did everything get done.We left around 8.

What nights do they run,do you know and what classes.Im going to have to figure out what happened,if its the speed control or what and go from there.I might be out of racing for awhile if its the speed control.I will have to send it in to novak and wait for it to return.
i would like to come there and run the nights they run,the track is nice i think.

Great time at Allen's! Mark did THE ABSOLUTE BEST job announcing, calling out what race # they were on, race # ?? you have 4 minutes to start, called out the drivers names for the next race, etc. Love the track, challenging yet tons of grip as the night went on. Barb, as usual, awesome job holding down the fort with the great food, & running the hobby shop. My car was going great, dodged MOST of the wrecks, but luck just wasn't on my side. Big thanks to Matt Morton & Jeremy Dunham for rounding up the parts,(as well as all the other help) I needed to put a new RF on the car. Good to see some first timers from Maryville make the trip up, hope all you guys had fun too.

extra speedos?? Jenzo i don't think anybody wants to borrow your speedo. :D:D
On another note... Awesome racing last night 4th place qualifier ran 40 4:05, 22nd place qualifier ran 39 4:05. One wreck one bobble and you dropped a few spots in qualifying. Mark Daniels ran a absolutely perfect show that got us out of there right at Midnight. Congrats to all the winners. Looking forward to KotW later this year.

Good night of racing, great car count 40+ Elec Sprints, 96 cars total. Thanks to Mark for keeping things running smooth. Also to the racer for being ready and coming out to turn marshal right after their race. 60+ heats and mains in 7.5 hrs is not bad. :checkeredflag:
Special thanks to Allen and Barb for giving us a great place to race. Also to the nut cases I pit with for making it fun.
Congrats to Chris Shearburn for the Elec. Sprint win and Mark Corns for the Nitro Sprint Victory.:trophy:
Hope to see everyone back for the 3rd Annual King of the Wings in September.
Oh yah Almost forgot "YOU THE MAN MOUSE"!!!:D

What an awesome race. Allen's has to be one of the best places to race at. Great job by Mark with the racing program, Allen with the track, and Barb with the food and parts.
Congrats to all the winners. Chris Shearburn and his dominating win in Electric Sprint.
See you guys later.

Good night of racing last night. Program moved right along. 53 electric sprints? Dirt oval racing in central Ill is alive and well. Good seeing the guys from In and the Maryville track make their first trip to Allens. Glad the weather stayed away........now if we could find something for the bugs to do, LOL.
I think everyone had a good time, can't wait till Aug 1st.......
Congrats to all the winners........and a special shout out to the R/C Shacks very own John Cole. TQ and win in nitro truck class? Nice.......and that is like your 2-3 dirt oval race? Good Job man, thanks for coming out!
P.S. And for everyone who forgot, Thank you very much Allen.......when I seen you with that saw, cutting that Dammmmnnn center post out of the drivers stand.........priceless......Seems like there was room for 2 more people on the stand after you did that. Thanks

Racing was Awesome. The track pack was working it the best they could under the roaring sun and slight breeze. Luck wasn't following me as I took to the track for the D main and locked up a RF bearing, couldn't get it changed until 48 seconds into the race, but got in there and still found 6th, (thanks for pulling out for me Fromme...) Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and that made for better racing. Thanks to Allen and Barb for putting on the Show and a Hearty Atta Boy to Mark Daniels for keeping things going! They were right, there will be no waiting... lol... Oh well, I'm looking for the King of the Wings next. And the green Mountain Dew machine will be retired for the new and improved Blue Mountain Dew Machine! Thanks again everyone for a fun race day...

I gotta thank Allen and Barb for hosting a good night of racing. And to Mark "Mad Dog" Daniels for keeping everyone in line and keeping the show going smoothly. I think everyone did a great job of being ready to go for their race and getting back to marshall when needed. Hopefully that continues for the next two races.:thumbsup:
The competition is tight this year. Looking forward to Round #3 in Marryville in a few weeks!

I know this is late but I am just getting a chance to catch up on my 'puter time. Had a great time at Allens even though I had problems. Got to give a big shout out to Chris, Doug and Wolfman for helping me sort out my car. I think I should have it sorted out by now. Unfortunately my wife fell Monday night and broke both ankles so I will be taking care of her for a while. They even scheduled surgery for next Wed. afternoon. Dont they know its raceday? Anyway. looking forward to getting back on the track soon.
