WOW! All I can say is the temp outside was hot, but the racing indoors was hotter!!

The LIMITED LATEMODEL racing class was very fun this week, some of the locals couldn't make it down, but the racing was still side by side. Jason Bowlin with the TQ was on fire all night, and had the field covered but ran into problems in the main with a loose racecar giving up the lead. But we ran nose to tail for 41 laps!! Great job !

TQ Jason Bowlin

The 1/8th Limited scale boys came out to get dialed in for the Summer Nationals. These guys were battling the whole race switching up positions. Alan Hinchman was tagged early in the race and was dropped to the back of the field. He played catch up the rest of the race ending up 2nd overall. Spanky motorsports was in the house blistering the track with some mad horse power, but also found trouble early in the race ending up 3rd. But the man with the plan was Lance Jones, as he never really got into any trouble and checked out on the field, driving a great race!!

2. Alan (THE) Hinchman

4. Richard Haas
5. Reece Hinchman

And the 13.5 class was one of the best races I have seen in a while!! David Kiser set on the pole for this race. At the start of the race there was a huge pile up in turn 4, that caught most the field giving Kiser a little break. Arnie Fie and Lee Jones was on the move looking to get to the front, but Jones ran into some traffic problems and never could reach the leader. Kiser lead until lap 20 when Arnie Fie took the lead. Kiser came back strong and was within inches of Arnie in every turn trying to get under him, but Arnie held his line never giving up the lead. They ran the rest of the race within three feet of each other the whole race both finishing on the same lap!! Great Race!!

13.5 Latemodel A-Main

1. Arnie Fie 41 4:03.303
2. David Kiser 41 4:04.592
3. Lee Jones

5. Rob Cutman

Had a great time, see you guys at the Summer Nationals!!!!!!!!!!

Great race recap Gambler. Had a great time as useual, and thanks to Steve for a great track prep, track was hauling. Great turn out in all classes and a hell of a 13.5 main. Thanks to Mr. Kiser for the info, it really helped my car get stable enough to run with the big boys. Hope to see all my new buddies in two weeks at the NAT'S..

I was able to slip in just before the 13.5 LM main started and I must say that was some very fast 13.5's. I even asked Arnie after the race was over "Are those 13.5's?" I was very impressed to say the least. Looks like I need to pick up a car and a set of foams so I can run with you guys. I don't think my converted B4 would do too well against what I seen last night. :D It looked really fast and fun. :greenflag:

Harold,
How'd I miss ya, wish I had seen ya there I would have let ya run my car a few laps after the main.

I too had a great time running yesterday. All 6 A main cars qualified at 40 laps and then the guys that bumped in from the B ran 41!! Some great and really close racing by all involved. can't wait for the LM nats in a few weeks, should be a great time!
